Still not sure what Macca has done to deserve to be in there. We let one goal in, which if you watch the replays clearly puts him at fault. I agree Rosenior is at fault, however Mcshane goes to his man and puts pressure on him, he doesn't get a shot away. Macca of the past would of jumped in and given a penalty away, but this is just as bad, not doing anything at all.
i'll probably get slaughtered for this but for me Elmo was way off it yesterday until he was moved into RB. Him and Rosenior was getting in each others way too much. I agree Elmo's cross for the winner was amazing but other then the last 15 mins he didnt do much more. Dawson was his usual else, steady but with a few shakey moments. For me Mcshane was superb, and only let one thing past him all game which ultimately led to their goal. which for me Amos should have done better, he shouldnt be getting beat from that angle MotM for me were 1.Mcshane 2.Oli 3.Quinn
I think it was CityCityHull who called him our own Scotty Parker, I totally agree. Runs himself into the ground, he's here, he's there, he's every______where. On this MOM CityCityHull, Mussiesredhat, Roseniorhisgransfromhull, PockTiger64, OneWaggy, City 1904, TigerRev, OriginalLambrettaman and myself all have him in our top 3. It took me a while to decide which way round to have my top 3 but I had no doubt at all that McKenna would be in it. He's not flash but he's highly effective, I think we're a lot better team with him in it.
Mckenna's a very important part of our squad. I remember so many fans who just couldn't see what Ian Ashbee did for us. For anyone who still doesn't understand this,i'd say think of say Ryan Giggs, and then of Roy Kean. Different players, for different roles, see ?
McKenna is the new Ash. Not in terms of ability but in being the under-rated midfield worker who many fans can't see the value of.
Final Result: 1 Elmohammady (he got twice as many votes as second) 2 Proschwitz 3 McShane Current table: Aluko 14 points Quinn 11 points Chester 9 points Simpson, Elmohammady 8 points Dudgeon 6 points Faye 5 points Amos 4 points McLean 3 points Stewart, McKenna, McShane, Proschwitz 2 points Koren 1 point
Just a thought here, maybe 2nd half of the season keep results quiet, then it will be interesting to see who people vote for player of the year compared to these, as if people know how players stand in this table surely that will influence their decision?
I thought you were the New leader of the MRLP Bob ? Now thats not a half bad idea actually. I would say keep silent after February on the votes. In saying that there is nothing to stop people from doing there own count if they can be so bothered,
once again, wel done goochie. i hope this work is acknowledged with a player of season award at the end of the season
