Bl00dy heck, 6hrs 39mins!! Sunderland have won one of their last 16 matches, drawing 11 times. They did not register a shot on target against Stoke last weekend and have only managed 12 all season. Every other Premier League team has had at least 28 according to Opta (excluding blocked shots). The Black Cats have the worst goalscoring record in the Premier League this season. Five of their six goals have come from Steven Fletcher, and the other was an own goal by Newcastle's Demba Ba. In all competitions, a Sunderland player hasn't scored in six hours and 39 minutes since Fletcher's 51st-minute winner against Wigan on 29 September. Sunderland are strong defensively though - only Arsenal have conceded fewer goals. Martin O'Neill managed Aston Villa for four seasons between 2006 and 2010, guiding the club to sixth-place finishes in each of his last three years in charge. Craig Gardner progressed through Villa's youth set-up to make 79 first-team appearances for the club. Aston Villa This is Villa's worst start to a season for 43 years, when they were in the old Second Division and took only two points from their first nine matches. Paul Lambert was just six weeks old by the end of that barren run. They have won only one of their last 19 league matches, and picked up just 21 points from their 28 games in 2012 - the lowest tally of any Premier League club. The Villans have gone 13 top-flight away matches without a victory since beating Wolves 3-2 in January (D5, L8). None of Villa's first XI last weekend have ever started a Premier League game with another club. Gabby Agbonlahor made his 200th Premier League start - that is 61 more than the rest of the team combined. Only Sunderland have scored fewer than Villa's seven goals. Darren Bent scored 36 goals in 63 appearances for Sunderland before joining Villa in January 2011 for a fee rising to £24m.
We'll not win 7 - 0. I reckon 6 - 1.......... Reminds me of the time in Hartlepool's programme when they wrote a report on the "9 goal thriller" v Swansea, I think. Hartlepool had been stuffed 8 - 1! x
Stats like metres run, corners, free kicks shots etc only tell the individual details but not the answers. For instance I could (and do) say that in 11 out of 16 games, 14 probably we have not played well in, we were unbeaten which shows a stubborn hard team. A team that with the aid of a bit of luck, goal or an upturn in form this season could easily have another 4 or 5 points and all this ****e about us getting relegated or sack/look at replacements for the manager bollocks would not be on this forum at all. A win tomorrow will see us on 12 points from 9 games - a ratio of 1.33 per game that would mean 50 points at the end of the campaign, which is hardly ****e. If as we all agree we are playing crap, then there is only one way to go for us and we have the players to turn our form around.
I seem to remember reading something similar before the boro game dont know who wrote it, just a minute it was you cest lets hope you have a bit more luck tomorrow.
Oh dear, a clever ****e in our midst (not) Maybe if MoN doesn't win the next 30 games 5 -0 we should sack the twat eh? Any comments on the FACT that a win tomorrow will have us on track for 50 points this campaign? Playing ****e btw. If you can name me a manager that guarantees we will win every game, I'll start the campaign to remove MoN myself?
And with a bit less luck you could have fewer points, what a stupid thing to say. Only you could put a positive on playing badly, take your red and white specs off, you're playing badly with no sign of improvement
another point from the clever ****e a draw tomorrow would probably see us miss relegation on the last day of the season with 42 points a loss will see us relegated with 38 like i said hope to have better luck tomorrow.
I'd be very surprised if you ever attended school with such poor grammar and spelling that a 5 year old would laugh at. I'll try and help you out thicky.
Then may I suggest you refrain from looking into the mirror anymore and I guarantee he will stop appearing to you?
An interesting and really scary fact about SAFC V Villa games is there has never been a decent game ever not too many high scoring ones either although my first away game was at Villa in 81 ish we got beat 4-1 still didn't put me off mind.
Isn't it funny how we all want the same thing but argue & slag each other off for each others opinions? I will NEVER turn away from my club. However, I refuse to blindly follow the incompetent over the edge of a cliff like some soft ****ing lemming. Faith is responsible for a lot of the worlds ills. I've seen far, far too many false dawns to ever be lulled into a false sense of security, or indeed, follow with blind faith again. It's my club I love, not its employee's & if I think any of them are ****, I will ****ing well say so regardless of what anybody thinks of me. Anyone not like my posts, block me.
From the Rome wasn't built in a day crew to the we want to win the treble yesterday mob. It's all about opinions. Some of us get a little heated, some of us just sit back and laugh. If we all met in a pub some of us would get on like a house on fire, some wouldn't. All about opinions mate and you say what the **** you want. All bout opinions.
