Some of you seem to be under the impression that shifting Ba left will get Cisse scoring again - Why? He's short on confidence at the moment and shifting a far more reliable scorer out wide isn't necessarily going to help that. It's something he has to work on, but you can't nullify other players to force it.

Playing both up front doesn't work at all, and I'm not trying to say that, but so far this season Ba has been by far the better striker, yet you're all saying that he should be (for lack of a better word) 'punished' for this by playing in a position he doesn't like. It's completely senseless.

"Demba, you're scoring far too many goals for my liking!"
    "But boss.."
"No buts!! You are now are winger until Papiss get's scoring again"
"But I'm far more reliable and atleast I work better with that terrible style you make us play!"
"NO MORE OF THAT! I AM YOUR MANAGER AND I AM ALWAYS RIGHT!"
    Newcastle United circa 2012

Canot see that going down well.

Yeah, l can see where you are coming from and would really like to see both Ba and Cisse stay in the team and find the right combination to hit the form we know they have.
I like the sound of someone new with skill and pace for the wide left, as sadly although l have always really rated him, Jonas looks as though he is on the decline.
Ince will attract interest from bigger clubs, but may prefer to get more game time with a club outside the top four. Maybe his dad will advise him to look for the big club move at a later date, and join the Toon?
Would still like to see Ba and Cisse working a little harder for each other, l just don't see any chemistry. I accept that strikers need a selfish streak in them to stay goal hungry, but look at how hard Rooney works to set up RVP, and nothing is detracted from him for setting up his strike partner and vice versa.

It was proved that 4-3-3, with Ba on the left best suited the team last year. It's no coincidence that we won 6 on the bounce with that set up and played our best football.

It's no different to people saying Pardew deserves time based on last season, he did well last season so he should come good this season, right?

4-3-3 worked brilliantly last season, so there's no reason it shouldn't work well this season...just need Pardew to have the minerals to set the team up this way.

One of two areas I think Pardew has maybe failed, standing up to Ba instead of fearing losing him, and of course set pieces. I personally think the answer lies in a cheque book on this one but at present time we have what we have and as you say we all know what combination works. Long term (January please Mike) we need to balance it out with a left forward/winger. Then its a straight fight and whoever is in form plays, simple as that. Either don't like it then **** off basically.

I look at Rooney as the example of why sometimes you have to play for the team. He has rarely moaned as Fergie has utilised where is best for the team. Its a team game, and the team comes before any individual needs.

Makes you think "Why the **** did he change it?" I can't think of a reason to be honest. A fluent nice formation that worked, and he decided lets play the long ball **** instead. It baffles my mind.

Why did he change it, the answer for me is simple, it was the threat of losing Demba Ba.

That's why, oh and it still is IMHO.

A manager that bows to player power is no longer a manager, but a colleague.

Is he bowing to the player or the fans though (or a mixture of both)? I can see the reaction of some if he had jumped ship "we didn't do enough", "well its Pardews fault for playing him wide". Hell people were all over him last season for it, many of these boards questioning why he was playing him left, blaming him for Ba's lack of goals. Sometimes as a manager you can't win.

My personal view is Ba plays for the team or he can do his please in terms of leaving. I don't think every fan sees it like that though unfortunately.

Rotate them upfront and on the wings (ba, left. cisse right), moves HBA a bit as well to stop it being so predictable. They both need to see they can't play as a front 2 but if one of them is push a little on to the wing, and drifts in when the ball is going up the other flank, we can incorporate them both into the team.

    This is excatly my point.

I never blamed Ba for our losses or our performances, so the comment earlier about the Cisse penalty was idiotic.

Ba scores goals, but he doesn't score often enough for us to win enough games (Obviously given our position). If it means we need to move him to the left to win games, then so be it. If he wants to leave because of that, sell him.

No team can afford to let a player call the shots. I'm grateful for the goals Ba has scored for us, but I don't think for one minute he has our best interests at heart. I am also saying that we'd be worse off if he hadn't scored as many as he has, but would we be better off if he's played on the left in a 4-3-3? quite possibly.

The little (rather public) huff he took last season when he was dropped, not matter how unfair it was, was not what I want to see from a Toon player.

That 'huff' was basically a couple of very minor comments that people overexaggerated.

As for Cisse not getting service, that's true. Neither does Ba, yet he's managed to score far more goals than Cisse has. The fact is that Ba currently is the best striker we've got, and this idea that he should be shifted out (either to a different position or an entirely different club) to again, HOPEFULLY get someone else scoring is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read in my life.

For me it's one or tother.

Would prefer to see Klass Jan H in our team alongside one of them.

When I see or hear this type of thing ot's no wonder we are ****! get rid of one the best strikers weve had for years and replace him with a player that is utter ****e.

It amuses me as the same arseholes complain about loyalty from players and in actual fact most fans are as loyal to the players as Tiger Woods is to his wife.
