Anyone watching the football league show? The lad had an absolute stormer against Derby, unlucky not to get a hat trick. On that showing he could turn out to be a top player. Better than Campbell, Ji, Wickham and Saha?
Didn't see the game but I never witnessed anything that suggested he'd turn into anything better than an average football league player. Best of luck to the lad mind.
In fairness to him he's never had a chance in the premier league. He played maybe half a dozen games.
Why would we do that? I've never had a chance to play in the premier league either but I reckon no one's going to try to sign me.
Now Nigel Pearson is back and Waggy is fit we are starting to see the Waghorn we had on loan a few years ago. Sven completely discarded him and destroyed his confidence. Now he is back in he has been playing superb. He has scored 2 in the last 5 and hit the woodwork 6 times aswell
I remember him rattling the bar here, if that had gone in who knows what may have happened with him, could have been his Rooney v Arsenal moment. On the subject of Rooney he is the player who Wagon reminds me of most. Hope he continues to perform for you lot, I do think if you manage to get in the prem everything is in place to stay up. How highly do you rate Schmeichal seeing him week in week out?
Waggy is very simaliar to Rooney. Obviously not as good though Kasper was brilliant all last season and was our best player by far. This season we are alot better all over the pitch so we dont rely on him like we did last year. In the past 4 or 5 games he hasnt looked as assured as he normally does but apart from that he is a cracking keeper and he will play at one of the top clubs soon. He will be in the premiership next season with or without us
Just sold a house to him and his lass in Shields. Nice lad, canny few of my Sunderland supporting mates said he always gave 100%.Good to see local lads doing well.
I always felt that Waghorn would turn out to be a decent player, and watching his games of late, he looks like he is now beginning to show what he is made of..Good luck to the lad..
