MArveaux is a sub. Why did he look like he just played 90 minutes and more?

Not quite sure how to sum that game up - we huffed and puffed, but some of our players are just not good enough, Williamson, Simpson, Jonas and Cisse spring to mind.

We cannot finish either! Worrying times really - absolutely fed up of it, we are supposed to be 'on the up' I don't expect a Champions League place but if we cannot beat West Ham, Swansea, Fulham then we are not going to be anywhere near the top half of the table.

It's too much of a coincidence to ignore that since Pardew's contract was announced we have been utter ****e, fed up with his smug face stating the obvious.

Second half we played really well, made loads of chances and I think we deserved a draw. Individual errors cost us again.
To single out Willo is stupid,he had a decent game. Simmo, Collo, Santon and Jonas all poor defensively.

Agree about, disagree on Colo - thought he was decent! Simpson was poor for 3rd goal, Santon the 2nd - his awareness was called into question today!

Collo has been at fault for 3 or 4 of the last 5 goals we've conceded.

Thought Anita was excellent today along with Ba. Both worked their socks off. Our defending is woeful and I hope we can keep a clean sheet against QPR to give them a bit of heart for the onslaught that will follow in Man U, Arsenal & Everton.
Tiote very poor again along with Jonas and it must be time Pardew tried something different before it becomes too late.

Until we start defending better we will be prime candidates to go down. Teams rooted to the bottom of the league are the ones that are not doing the basics right. Teams don't beat us as much as we lose games. We gift goals away and you can't do that at this level whether it's Man City, Fulham or Swansea you are playing.

Very worrying times. Basically if we don't invest in January we will go down.

I was listening to the second half on the radio and they reckoned Tiote was the best midfielder on the pitch. They actually said he was a 'one man midfield'. Are they missing something or are we just jumping on his back?

I thought he looked good second half. Especially when compared to some of the performances he's put in so far this season.

I didn't think Tiote was bad. Tiote played well. It was the collective poor tracking of runs by our team that led to the goals piled on us..

Were you even at the game? Williamson isn't as bad as people are making him out to be and even when he does have a bad game he can't be faulted for effort. If you're fed up with it don't go, and let somebody that gets behind the guys no matter what have have your seat. We played some decent football at times but even the eternal optimists have to admit we were outplayed by a superior City team. They aren't second top of the league by chance!

We'll play worse than we did today and win games.

I'd go further than say Anita was Man of the Match for us and say he was the Man of the Match. Another great game from Mr Perpetual Motion.

Back from the match and very proud of the team and our performance. Make no mistake about it we gave them a hell of a game today. We just couldn't cope with the front two and that is understandable. I was told on leaving the ground today by a Citeh fan that Tevez and Aguero have a 100% record when they start. Not sure if that is correct but based on today I can believe it. Pace and movement was unbelievable. Nasri, Silva and Toure were also class.

Anita was just a different level to our other players today. He is pacey, strong, fit as a butchers dog and has a touch of class. I cannot wait to see him Tiote and Cabaye together now he has found his feet. His work ethic was brilliant and he almost dragged us back into the game. Cisse had to put that chance away when we were on top to get something. The fans were also magnificent today too. The noise was deafening and we never gave up on them. If we play like that for the rest of the season we'll win plenty of games. Most positive I've felt in a while, which is strange after a 3-1 home defeat!

Tiote and Perch had cracking games, I assume Cheick was taken off to avoid a booking ahead of QPR, cute from Pardew. You have to pick your battles. Also have to say Willo had his best game in a while, that block first half was class. He isn't good enough but the man gives 110%. Ba worked his socks off and had a terrific game. Cisse worked hard but he needs to put one away. Simpson did little wrong and Krul had a good game too.

The bad. Colo. I feel for him at present, if you take the mistakes out, the rest of his game is fine. But his positioning at present is suspect and he has cost us a number of goals of late. He had to come out for the first one, he played Nasri on and it was costly. Then for the third he was clearly pushing Simpson out to play offside but had not checked where Willo was. He was playing them on and it made Simpson look stupid. You could argue that like the first Willo should not have been so deep but I think it was a poor time for Colo to try an offside personally. Santon had a shocker. He needs moved to the right as he has no idea where the runners are when on the left. He might look dangerous upfield cutting in but he is a ****ing full back. Time and again he was caught by Nasri including the first goal although he was playing offside, and later Tevez. He needs to be in his natural role to see the best of him.

The 2nd was a combination of poor planning by the management team and Santon not doing his job on the line. He seemed to be trying to defend it from where I was sitting but it was a poor effort. The poor planning came in the form of putting Perch on their best aerial player Garcia. Anyone who has watched him in his career or Citeh this season should know how good he is in the air. He is powerful and just brushed Perch aside. Colo was in the way a little too. I'd have put Tiote on him to try and hussle him.

Jonas needs replaced. I don't think we have anyone to replace him and need to buy. Marveaux is just weak physically and weak hearted to me. Again today he came on and lost it as many times as he retained it. Infuriating player. Jonas worked his socks off but the ball just looks a foreign object to him at present, constantly caught with it. His legs may have gone. Shola and Fergie made little impact.

All in all really pleased though and those thinking we are going down should watch today's game in full. There is plenty of heart in this side, plenty of stomach for the fight. Its a far cry from the team which went down last time. I hope Ashley is going to do the right thing. Ideally we need 3, but a minimum of 2. They should be a centre half and a left forward/winger. If we can stretch to 3, get a left back to balance the defence and allow Santon to move into his best role.

Good account of the game WP, pleased somebody else thinks it was a good game.

Like I said, we'll play worse than we did today and win games.

We were excellent today AB when you consider the oppo. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, a proper match day without the result. I was sat with a Citeh fan and after he revealed the Tevez/Aguero bombshell, he said "how the **** are you struggling?!". He was impressed by everything, our team, his own, the stadium, the fans, the food, everything! Might get a bit business out of him I think!

Good words indeed from an away supporter. A few of them mustn't have been able to get tickets in the away supporters seats and were in the Gallowgate End, couldn't hide their Manchester dialect, but spoke very kindly about everything too. Another couple must have been staying overnight and travelled on the same bus as me and they were very generous about what they thought of the team, the City and all things in general. A good bunch of fans on the whole.

Just checked Tevez and Aguero have started 13 games together now. 13 wins! You have to question why Mankini has only started them 13 times together surely? They did win the league though. I question even more why against us! <grr> Mark of respect in a way I suppose.
