Would you take him back for £10m?

I would, even for £15m, this goal was magnificent, I just started getting into footie when I watched this game, and I loved the lad, I would love to see him back on tyneside. Your point will be that he was disloyal but I think he was forced out, and I don't reckon that we will have to change our style too much, and I would take Ba leaving for Carroll!

    Comments Welcome!

    Peace.

But seriously, no I wouldn't take Carroll back because of the injuries he's suffered recently.

We need to get a centerback and a fullback bought first though. Douglas and Debuchy should be flying in before we think about another striker.

We can score goals and create chances, but we cannot ****ing defend right now. We need to push our high line back a bit, Colo needs to get his arse back into gear, Santon has fallen off the pace recently.

Williamson has been our best defender over the last few weeks, and that's scary.

Teams can apply for special dispensation if they wish, it's generally approved as well.

Douglas has been extremely poor this season by all accounts. We also need a good holding midfieler and a winger too.

Central defense is the one absolute must, with fullback closely behind.

tiote will re-grow the level of brain he had last season. Anita, Perch and Bigi all can fill in as a holding midfielder. That postion ges easier when Cabaye is back as well.

Marv is playing well, Obertan is showing promise and HBA will be back soon.

There's probably not a position where we could not use another body, but CB and RB/LB are the only real necessities

Is it season, year or calendar year? If it's 'year' then as Miss O'Hara didn't say, "Tomorrow is another year"

I would have him back. I am not fussed at how much it would cost because I am not in charge of the pursestrings and these are silly amounts that we're dealing with; I will let others worry about the prices.

Having Carroll would be a good alternative in attack.

I am for it, but I can't see it happening at all.

Definitely not, stupid wages, made of glass like Saylor and he's a grade A prick. He is also really not very good.

I think he is top class and unplayable but we just don't need another injury prone player at present.

    Loan yes. Permanent no.

Maybe loan him until the summer, then a permanent deal for Remy/Aubameyang/Diabate/Kuqi etc???

This....and we need an extra creative midfielder however having said that.... I think Marv could do a job there for us... He looked dangerous against the gunners!

Its his best role undoubtedly, sitting in front of two holders to do his dirty work. I still can't wait to have Cabaye back and see him afforded some freedom he wasn't earlier on when Tiote was out, but I think Marveaux is good enough cover rather than going get another. Particularly with Vuckic to return at some stage. I think Anita, Tiote, Cabaye could be something special and very complimentary.

Pardew has made it clear defenders are his priority. If Demba goes we'll need someone but I'd quite like a wide left option on top of a full back (hopefully left back personally but Debuchy looks a done deal) and the centre back. Pardew has been severely hampered by the lack of an additional centre back.

Always been keen on a Carroll return but his fitness and our needs don't seem to fit well at present. It makes more sense to want a Demba stay over Carroll returning.

I would take Carroll back anytime - although the summer is the soonest it could happen as his loan deal with West Ham is until the end of the season.

I suppose Liverpool could recall him if there is a clause in the deal, but I really don't think Brendan Rodgers has the first clue about players to be honest. How you can't fit Andy Carroll into the Liverpool team is beyond me. He's technically very gifted and is much more than just a heading machine.

Yep, bring wor Andy back home and let's see him shine once again and regain his England place. <ok>

Yep, gotta agree that Andy Carroll should be brought back. I know he's had a couple of longer term injuries this season, but I wouldn't paint him with an 'injury prone' label just yet.

He's about as black and white as any Premiership footballer and he'd score goals again back up here. He was kicked out via a £35m helicopter last time - if Ba and his pals could get their mits on a 10th of that, they'd be long gone.

It might have to wait until the summer, but c'mon lads, lets show a bit of Toon spirit to one of our own ...
