Lawro is on the BBC website assessing what he thinks each team needs. It is encouraging to see that he doesn't think that we need many additions at all. He thinks that another deep playing striker to help Michu would be helpful but says even that isn't imperative as we've got Danny Graham finding a bit of form. Players he associates with us are Mark Davies (Bolton); Craig Dawson (WBA); Alonso (Bolton) and Adomah (Bristol City). No mention of Canas and no mention of David Villa. What!!!! I suppose it's encouraging that he doesn't think we need a raft of new players to survive but I think we all know some additions are needed.
He's also linked Scott Sinclair with Everton even though Scott can't play for another Premiership team this season as he's already played for 2. I think we all know where we'd like to strengthen.
His lack of vision for us in the players that he thinks we should be associated with speaks volumes about him and his astuteness - lack thereof.
All the players he associates us with are those that have been bouncing around the rumor boards for weeks... So essentially he is just summarizing what everyone already knows, nothing else... poor...
He is terrible, his weekly predictions are always the same. He'll say we've done well against all the odds, with a new manager, etc, added steel, more direct etc, and will then we predict a 2-0 loss regardless of who we are playing. He's been ringing it in for years now and is quite obviously bored and not doing any kind of research, how he is still employed by the BBC on massive wages is completely beyond me
