Apparently according to SSN transfer thingy, he's interested everyones favourite politician Silvio Berlusconi, wanting to 'build a young team' blah blah blah etc. They did say Santon is very happy on Tyneside, so the piece is a load of bull imo.

I don't see why Santon would interest AC Milan now, rather than when he was at Inter and considered one of Europes brightest prospects in that posisiton. Especially given the amount of players the go from Inter to AC (why is that?).

I'm not really caught up in the aura surrounding Santon. Although he's brilliant when attacking he's all right footed and slows down an attack when cutting back onto his stronger foot. (Most of the time)

Also, he's rubbish at defending and following his man and for a tall lad, he's out foxed by the simplest of lofted balls or cross.

Sell him and buy a proper LB now we have Debuchy.

Santon has a good touch, gets forward well, comfortable on the ball, decent passer etc, i just wonder would he work as a central midfield player?

Santon's agent is in talks with AC Milan despite him dismissing reports of a move.

I think that's where the reports of us talking to this 'Bong' character come from. LB I think

Santon hasn't been in the best of form for me. Looks good going forward but gets caught out of position all the time. Last few games anyway.

Good player though and I don't want to see him go.

I have a feeling he'll go but not because he wants to! :D

If the club receives back what they paid for him they'll bite their hands off and buy this Gaetan Bong fella for less.

It's all about the profit margins remember!

"Pass Debuchy to the left hand side..." to Bong. Whatever next, Cheech and Chong up front??

The squad has looked stoned all season so why not...

Santon has so much potential. Been poor recently but still been one of our better players this season.

Think Santon would be decent on left side of midfield as he has pace to get forward and back to help out. Replace Jonas ?

If we do get Bong, I hope he is a combative player - purely for the compilation video of his tackles set to this:
