Heard that we were interested in this guy. Would be a shrewd signing IMO, a 21-year-old French winger with pace and an eye for goal that can play on both wings.

If we did secure him I'd be very happy, even if he was only the bench for us, he'd have a good impact and is flexible enough to be a good impact sub.

    Thoughts?

JHe certainly did well against us for Plymouth. Shouldn't be that expensive either.

When do you ever not need a 21 year old with loads of potential that can play on both wings? He'd certainly add quality and flexibility to the squad.

Is he only 19? thought he was a couple of years older.

He's a Zimbabwean international, although that probably doesn't reveal much.

Be a good signing with Puncheon off and Holmes uncertain with injuries

My bad he is definitely 21.

Too old, let's not worry about him anymore.

He's not as good as some make out, inconsistent according to some Plymouth fans and let's face it, it isn't difficult to stand out in a side with such poor quality.

I think he only looks good because he's in a bad side

So you've basically just repeated what Lambden just posted.

Anyway, I thought he'd be a better option than Forte.

    Fair enough.

I just think you'll all be disappointed by our signings if Bolasie isn't good enough for a bench spot.

Why would we want to sign a player from a relegated club, when we are aiming for the premiership? I think we can set our sights slightly higher that this kid. Get neil danns in and another striker to go alongside Lambo, Guly and Barnard and we will be all set for a next season.

Neil Danns has been a rumoured target for ages but to be fair I think Pardew chased him, nothing wrong with him but I would expect Adkins to be looking at different players. I don't know a lot about Bolasie but he seems like a good young player, then again we have several of those already!

Yeh, I mean, why would you do that? It's not like Simeon Jackson (relegated with Gillingham last year) was snapped up by Norwich, going on to score 2 vital hattricks and the goal that took them up automatically... <doh>

Talent is TALENT, no matter who or what league you sign it from...

Simeon Jackson has been scoring goals at that level for years. You could tell he was going to make the step up at some point and in the end went to Norwich.Since that move he has proved he is good enough at that level. This kid Bolasie has proved nothing in league one, and proved nothing in a team that got relegated from league one! So how the F*ck is he going to fit into are team in the championship? You sound like the sort of guy who goes fishing with a plastic rod and then wonder why it snaps!

Have to admit he looked pacy not sure of his skill level though. The reality is there is only one person that can make that decision and that is NA. There doesn't appear to be much local knowledge of our interest? Still we will have to see........

After Lallana and Chamberlain, we don't have many good options on the wing.

    Puncheon (sulky, probably off)
    Guly (much better upfront)
Holmes (decent, but injured a lot)
Forte (Not very skillful, might get the odd break, but he's probably more of a striker that plays wide because he's quick)

Bolasie is young and has quality. He wouldn't be the automatic first choice, so being a bit inconsistent wouldn't bother me if he has the right attitude.
