Fortuitous for QPR that his stay in Italy was as brief as it was, for who else could have led us to the success we had when he took over?
Very interesting article. The Italiens obviously didn't appreciate his undoubted quality, fortunately for us! It would seem not much has changed in the way their clubs are run...
A Good read, there loss was our gain the mans a legend, those of us that were around then have a lot to thank the man for, apart from the birth of my kids he gave me one of the best days of my life
In a quieter way, Alec Stock is for us what Bill Shankley is to Liverpool: founding father of the club's success. Without Stock's genius, the Rs would have continued to be running mates with the likes of Orient and Brentford. To think he was on the verge of retiring before Chairman Jim Gregory pleaded with him to help us out.
Alex Stock a wonderful man, and a great great manager together with Jim Gregory they made QPR what it is today.
Thought there was something familiar in that Alec Stock article... Antonio Busini, Flavio Briatore, Antonio Busini, Flavio Briatore, Antonio Busini, Flavio Briatore, Antonio Busini, Flavio Briatore... Oh yeah, incompetent, interfering Italian directors screwing things up at every turn, that's what it was!!
