He seemed to lose it later in the season, another choker...

Warnock likes him as do most of us on here judging by recent comments made.

His goal against us says as much about his potential as anything else. Couldn't see Helguson getting one like that.

As a free agent I think that he will get a much better deal elsewhere. Other Prem clubs will be able to offer him the much higher wages that he wants, especially as there is no fee to pay up front.

Overall, the R's have to be careful with their wage structure. Give new signings a very good deal and there will be those at the club that will want parity. if nothing else it could spark a bit of internal friction.

It is hard to justify to a player who is on £20,000 a week why a similarly rated player should get £50,000 a week just because he didn't cost the club any money in transfer fees.

Presumably he could go to a number of clubs.
Where would we be in the queue?

If he's going free, we'll get knocked over in the rush.
Club like Everton, will have him, maybe Newcastle.
Can't see him in Hoops, I'm wrong sometimes though!:emoticon-0105-wink:

Danny Graham the superior option..think we'll eventually nab him for something in the 3mill region.

Thought he was one of the best players to play at the bush this year , good in the air and very quick , had Gorkss and Connolly back pedling both times we played them this year. Could play up top and suit our formation.

Reckon you could see him at Newcastle next season though.

I´d also rather Graham in an ideal world but if we can get a player like Bothroyd on a free and thus use the money it would take to sign Graham on another area of the team it would be sensible to go for him. I feel we desperately need central midfielders and full-back cover so if Cardiff are that skint a cheeky bid for McNaughton is a must.

Am with you on Whittingham, would defo suit the way we play,

Can't make my mind up on Boothroyd, i would assume he is asking for silly wages so i would assume he will be heading elsewhere.
