I'm pretty sure he's a WUM, or just a masochistic defeatist.

Aye, but there's no need for anyone to immediately write us off for the next several years. The last season has only just ended, the next season is nowhere near starting yet but he's sat there saying we're going to get relegated.
The type of fan who before kick off just claims " well, we're gonna lose anyway. I'm off home "

So your like me then a realist not a pessimist? Even an oil rich arab on speed couldn't win us anything soon.

Look we are a low budget no frills operation for possibly the next 10 years. It's a fact I have accepted.

Winning the Championship, signing Ben Arfa and Tiote, Shearer breaking the goals record, a few top half Premiership finishes including European qualification, playing in the Champions League and UEFA Cup(getting to the semis?), having a fair few young talented players in our squad, no longer being financially crippled, having a decent amount of money to spend this summer, Tiote being on a long contract, beating Sunderland 5-1, drawing 4-4 with Arsenal from 4-0 down, lots more class results in the past TEN years. I appear to have missed a lot :(

Wow I'd really hate to have your outlook on life, how do you bring yourself to get out of bed in the morning? "I'll only die one day eventually, what good has happened to me in the last 10 years anyway..."

All I can say is that there is a massive difference between pessimism and realism

So tell me, where did you think we would finish at the start of the season? Every pessimist says they're just being realistic, you're as bad as Tonton.

Pessimists calling them selves realists is rather optimistic and not realistic at all, hope someone understands what I've just said cause I sure as hell don't

    On the whole optomists/pessimists argument:

I am a pessimist when looking forward, but an optomist when looking back, if that makes any sense. For example if the toon are playing at the weekend I might say we'll lose 2-0, but whatever happens after a game I look at the positives. Kind of a low expectations and your never disappointed strategy.

    LOL

Also, how can a humble yet determined follower of Newcastle United aide in such a project all the way from the Frozen cold north?
