Martinez or Poyet would be perfectly suited to the players we have in our squad IMO.

Good manager, bad fit for this football club. Safety first manager who likes to stop the oppo first which the fans don't like. Terrible with press, with downright bizarre interviews. Football is just decent but more functional than anything else. Very tactical and tinkering manager who plays players out of position as required.

Don't me wrong he is a clever manager with a successful record but our fans would turn on him I fear. Just get the feeling he would end up on the thick end of a barracking. I think we need someone who'll play passing football, and who the fans can identify with in terms of passion. I'd prefer a more modern younger coach personally.

Rafa is a top quality manager who has won trophies at every club he's been at. He may not play fantastic football but he gets results. Poyet, Laudrup or Martinez are all good shouts but I don't know how realistic they are.

With all our French imports, why not try to get someone like Didier Deschamps?

If its FAT HEAD/ FAT SHAM then I'm totally giving up!

Isn't part of the problem the quality of the football?! I think we may miss the boat here - Martinez is surely going to be leaving Wigan and, with Laudrup committing to Swansea for another year at least, seems like he'll be replacing Moyes.

    Gus Poyet

    Or Matinez

I think they'd just really get us playing the style of football the team should be playing. <ok>

I don't think that Pardew is going. I hope that I am wrong.

If he goes then there is only one person whom I don't wish to replace him - Mark Hughes.

Yes, I would rather have Souness back.

Mark Hughes is possibly THE biggest waste of space manager ever.

How he's managed to be gifted Premier League roles over experienced managers who have actually done something is beyond me. Just spends loads of money on over-priced individuals and hopes they perform. And he is miserable as hell. Makes Pards look like Mr Charisma.

There is an element of insanity in sacking Pardew and getting Martinez in, if Wigan go down. Laudrup a good call but wont come, at this stage we aren't an obvious step up from Swansea and he'll hold out for someone bigger next summer. Benitez would be ace in my view but wont come.

I think more realistic choices are not popular names... I'm not convinced anyone better than Pardew would come.

What's wrong with Martinez? He's done excellent at Wigan, and the guys a good football manager. He will play a style our team should be playing with the our squad, not to mention his charisma and optimism.
Gus Poyet aswell, same style of manager and I can see the guy being top class one day.

Controversial, but Redknapp is in with a shout. The guy is top 4 quality, why people are so stubborn on refusing him the chance to manage us I have no idea.

I rate hr but he turned us down before so can't see it ever happening
Martinez is a good shout however suspect at the back in general.

    Pardew fails on every level
