A topic came up at some point today about which of the players on the field you would be disappointed not to see next season. Obviously Townsend and Remy are not applicable, although both looked like we were starting to drag them down to our level today.

I'd be disappointed not to see Taarabt, Derry and Hill and that is it. Some other I'd be OK about, but not disappointed it they went.

None, we need players that if we get promoted would be able to cope in the premiership with a couple of additions. Derry and Hill are too old now.

Taarabt has proved he is to much of a liability in the premiership too.

Hill & Derry. Other than that the rest have let us down big time. Hoping for a summer clear out. Rob Green is a good keeper in my opinion and gets a lot of unjustified criticism.

It's so very hard to have any positive thoughts after the disastrous run-in we've had. I really can't think straight about who we'd like to retain as so many of them have been absolutely woeful in the past two months. From the moment we hit the run of 'winnable' games we've deteriorated alarmingly, the rot set in at Villa where we should have put them away in the first half and threw it away, everything went downhill from there.

I suppose to be realistic I'd be disappointed if Samba went as he'd be the 'foundation stone', literally, of a rebuilt side...

If I was Harry I would do the following:

    KEEP:

    GK: Green, Murphy

DEF: Traore, Suk-Young, Samba, Hill, Onuoha,

MID: Diakite, Derry, Taarabt, Mackie, Granero, Jenas, Faurlin

    ATT: Zamora, Bothroyd, Campbell

    SELL/WILL RETUN TO PARENT CLUBS

    GK: Cesar

DEF: Fabio, Ben Haim, Bosingwa, Ferdinand, Young

MID: Park, Wright-Phillips, Ephraim, Hoilett, Townsend, Mbia, Barton

    ATT: Johnson, Cisse, Remy

At the moment I am unsure on Zamora. Surely he can do a job in the NPC, but i'm yet to be convinced. But its pretty obvious we are going to have a lack of decent strikers. Remy will most likely be off (hence he is in the sell bracket like Townsend, who will return to Spurs I am sure). Also Campbell is actually out of contract so may not want to re-sign.

Imo the players in the sell category do need to go (other than the three mentioned above) as they dont care enough and have put in pretty awful performances this season or will return to their parent clubs. In the case of Ben Haim and Ephraim I just dont think they should be in our plans.

That leaves us with room to bring in hungry, young players with a bit of experience here and there. That will imo create the right sort of squad.

Roller........right now, I'm past caring mate!

Harry is proving to be every bit as inept as Hughes for me. He clearly doesn't like Taarabt and continues to select Bosingwa. Says it all!!

Faurlin. First name on the team sheet in the promotion season according to Warnock.

Taarabt, Townsend, Remy, Fabio. Thats it. 2 loans that will return, 1 more that is certain to be off and the other one whos not certain to stay.

It could be very ugly watching us next season.

Faurlin I suppose, not as tainted as the rest of them.

I don't think harry rate diakite as surely he would have picked him since he got back since ACON. Adel owes us nothing and if he were to leave I will have no complaints as he got us to the premeriship and had a bit of fight till he missed that penalty.

Agree but not the only one.

Judo has got it pretty much right in my book. I would add Samba too though.

S'pose your right RTID... Got me thinking. Imagine Samba and Onuoha forming an understanding at CB! Both right footers but could work in the middle.
