Trouble is we have been bitten far too often with injured players. Our luck on one has to change surely.

How do you know Akos would love to play for us again GAT? Have you kidnapped him and he's tied up in your attic?

Ebanks-Blake released at 27.....this is the second leg break if I remember correctly........isn't that how he came to us the first time notDistant.

We couldn't afford his plaster of paris bills let alone his wages.

SEB covers his own wages with the increased pasty sales but its still a no thanks from me. He would score goals at this level not so sure if he would take the physical side of Div 2 now plus with the glass legs we should steer clear.
Hunt however would be a great signing at 31 years old we might have a chance to get him but he maybe targeted by a higher division club.

Yep good luck to Yeovil <ok>

If you are missing your football already there is a good match on Sunday, Plymouth All Stars vs Argyle legends and for a good cause too.

Akinfenwa released by Northampton. 31 year old with a proven scoring record even if he eats all of the pies literally. I'd give him a go down here and we have more than enough pasty factories to cope.

One of the players released by Burnley is Alex MacDonald......who comments that he would love a second time at Argyle.

MacDonald was on the verge of returning when Fletcher was sacked.....but it seems, that in coming manager Sheridan didn't take up the offer.

MacDonald did reasonally well when he was here.....but obviously didn't light any fires back at Burnley when he returned there after his Argyle spell had finished.

Fair old gap in quality between League 2 and 11th place in the Championship Plymborn, so he could still do a job for us for a few seasons perhaps.

Akinfenwa... no thanks never been that impressed with him and getting on a bit now. He was always a strength/speed striker, which goes with age, rather than skills/smart striker who tend to get better with age.
MacDonald.... bit I saw of him always seemed full of promise but not really deliver. He never really got a run as out and out striker, played wide, which is his favored position apparently but not that desperate to sign him tbh.

Akinfenwa scored 16 last season mexijan which isn't bad for an over the hill player. Our lot would have dreamt scoring that many. I think he is better than anything we have now although I'm easy on the yes or no question. Just saw him on the list and wondered what others might think.

MacDonald didn't light any fires here last time in my opinion. He could play well but those occasions were a bit thin on the ground for my liking. I think he has ability but doesn't work hard enough to show it as often as he should.

Would rather Cureton, Howe (similar scoring record to Aki but younger), or an older pro to bring on the kids maybe Phillips (Beattie would have been good). Green from Mansfield, probably wont leave, also Cunnington was maybe worth a go but just signed for Cambridge. Not anti Aki but does not really float my boat. SEB or BWP would be better, Kedwell maybe.
