One race stands out a mile tomorrow and it's at Kilbeggan and it's a novice chase at 8pm. Are there any strong opinions out there? I'd be keen to take the favourite on because I'm not sure if beating The Real Article easily in receipt of weight on chasing debut warrants being 2/1 when the rest of the field are each way prices. I'm keen on backing Lord Ben and Toner both each way at the 5/1 and 4/1 mark.
2:30 Tyrur Ted 8/1 eway Won last time out over this distance after being slowly away. Granted this is a step up in grade, however the second from his last win subsequently won it's next outing when stepped up in grade. There are a few in this race who have a good chance but I think this fella is good for a place at the least and at 8/1 is an eway bet.
2.30 Chepstow - Batchelor Star 14/1 should appreciate the step up in trip and worth an each way shout in this
2.15 Vision Of Johannes 11/1 EW Should be an honest enough pace and this horse is the type to benefit from a good ride from Ms Brotherton. He has won over trip and on old form he is capable. Not shown so far this year, but whole field have similar statements or other issues. Dire race but a small EW dabble
Money for Hazza The Jazza in the last at Thirsk, I thought they were up to something with him a while ago when they ran him half fit on the AW after a couple of wins. Down to 59 tonight but trainer saying he has nothing to do with the money, I wouldnt listen to a word that came out of Guests mouth at the best of times. Be interesting to see how his price holds up on betfair closer to the race as connections obviously play on there, they layed him quite big that day he was half fit. If he is solid or well backed I might join in.
Afternoon all not impressed with Chepstow but will have to small ew to relieve the train journey 500 kyllachy storm at 14 I think some of the others may be carrying to much but we will see the other in the 530 is very surprising to see at 25+ so worth a go Memphis man just hope tonights racing is better good luck all
Through the card at my local track tonight; 6.40 SEBS SENSI good money for the Cox horse but the tried and trusted combo can prevail with key experience 7.10 STAR PEARL easily the best form on offer 7.40 MESSILA STAR I think has been let in lightly by the handicapper, a little concerned by the drift though. 8.10 HUNTSMANS CLOSE one assumes Spencer knows best but I think this one is capable of stepping up and Hughes is the master round here 8.40 BERWIN has been disappointing of late but is now on a handy mark and is a big EW price 9.10 COULOIR EXTREME eight length winner here seven days ago and 6lb penalty should not stop this one going in again.
This Mullins thing in the 7pm has come out due to the ground I'd have thought so I'm just left with Toner e/w in the 8pm as the other one has also been pulled.
apparently Gaelic Ice in the 8 40 Windsor is expected to put up a bold show-- make of that what you will-- jockey booking augurs well though.....
