    It's ok I'm sure i'll manage :)

On a side note, I can't see our team being any weaker than last season, even with the new loan rules.

A few more confirmations about signing some of last year's loanees and I'll be a happy Toby.

C'mon Abdi, you know you want to sign...

There is a pic on twitter from the Italy training camp of Lloyd, Abdi, Pudil and Deeney. Also looks like Ekstrand and Battocchio in the background, and another you couldn't really see. The hopeful in me thinks it looks like Vydra... But highly unlikely

And another of Cassetti is out there too

Think you are being a bit harsh there fellas. I would certainly choose Geijo over Owelumo. Neither had a great time with the club to be fair though. As for Duke, I think we can really start to put the good ol' bad ol' days behind us! Bloody well hope so!

Absolutely. 100% agree. I think he was unfortunate not to get a prolonged spell in the side.

This is like Kremlinology. For those of you too young to remember, this is the study of photographs to try and work out who is in favour and who has been dropped. When the May Day military parade took place in Moscow under the Soviet regime, experts studied the pictures of the politbureau stand to see who was there and who was missing so they could gauge the internal politics of the Soviet Union.

Who is training, who is in the background? No one has seen Vydra. Maybe that's him.

Evidently. Just dropped a mill on Luke Murphy, doubt we'd do that if we were skint. And even if we had to sell him to get players in, he'd go somewhere better than Watford. You're forgetting Man City were interested.

The old L'il ol' Watford routine, eh? For a young player there really aren't many better places for a young player to come and learn his trade. I might be biased but I know exactly which clubs I'd consider sending a son too... and it sure ain't Citeh!

And Leeds is a better place to be than Watford for that exact reason. You can't afford the transfer fee it's simple as that. If Byram is going anywhere it's because an offer was made that is too good to turn down, which Watford can't afford to do.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one! Not talking about the money, just the quality of our academy (or whatever it's called these days) and the coaching and teaching staff. As to those looking to break into the first team, I doubt there is a better coach for a young man untried at the top level, to play for. If you can't learn from GFZ then you might as well do something else.

Leeds have a history of bringing through young talent of a higher calibre than Watford. We have a manager who specialises in exactly that, we have one of the better academies in the country that is currently undergoing a massive overhaul to bring it up to the top level standard and Sam has already stated he's happy, knows that staying is the best option for his career and a move away isn't something he wants. A move to Watford would be a backwards step even if you could afford him.

How can a move to a better club be a step backwards?

I love this, I really do.

    1. What is your definition of "higher calibre"? Please elaborate.
    2. How do YOU know 'Sam' is happy?
    3. How do YOU know 'Sam' staying at Leeds is best for his career?
    4. How do YOU know 'Sam' doesn't want to leave?
    5. How do YOU know Watford can't afford him? Could you please supply me with the detailed financial breakdown of the Watford FC accounts (might be worthwhile including all financial earnings of the Pozzo family in this) along with a breakdown of 'Sam's' financial requirements?
    6. What sort of offer would 'Sam' find "too good to turn down"?
    7. How do YOU know Leeds aren't "skint"? Again, a financial breakdown of Leeds United AFC accounts (again, including that of GFH Capital).
    8. How do YOU know Manchester City "were interested"? (I think I once read Crawley Town were "interested" in Neymar, narrowly being beaten by FC Barcelona).
    9. What have YOU used to compare the "success" of the Watford FC academy against the Leeds United AFC academy? What forms the basis of your analysis?

I look forward to your reply.

    Kind regards,

    Bring Back Wooter

Oh yay, a 'my club is better than your club' argument.... Didn't think that would be until December!

Anyway - looks like the youngster in question was the lad from Reading. People seem to think he came due to more first team chances. Can;t see him getting in front of the likes of Deeney, Fessi, Acuna, Fabbrini and anyone else brought in. Send him on loan to somewhere along with Britt so they can get an understanding!

As for Byram... he would certianly fit in with the philosophy of our owners to buy young talent, develop futher, and sell on for profit. Although would say he is probably over-priced now if Leeds think he would cost over about £3m

    But you can't afford him...

One good season based on loan signings and suddenly you think you're one of the big boys and can afford to splash the cash around.

I don't know what's funnier, that or the delusion that you think Watford is a better club to be at than Leeds...

You're forgetting ken bates is no longer in charge of our club.

We seem to be heading along the assumption route again...

Maybe some response to my questions would provide you a bit more credibility?
