I watched the thing on STV about the workhouses. Just confirmed how much I loathe Brian Cox. Then woke up this morning and saw that the SNP were scrapping right-to-buy. UKIP for me now.
It was awful. I don't get peoples fascination with taking photographs of horrendous inhumanity for a living. It's not something I could ever do and even the bloke himself was doubting himself. Only you and me seem to show real feelings about reality on here.
Was there no a photographer that topped himself over the guilt of the photies he was taking? Quite an iconic photie if I remember correctly. The Manic Street Preachers done a song about him. Canny remember the name. My memory really is ****ed.
Yup it was the one with the vulture standing next to a severley malnourished little child and he made no attempt to help. More interested with getting the photograph. The guilt he felt led to him commiting suicide. Tragic all round really. Man's inhumanity to man.
Yup truly awful. You'd have thought he could have rustled up something hearty to eat, don't know what but I'm thinking.................................ah **** it I'm going off ma heed
