http://www.theswanseaway.co.uk/2013/07/swansea-city-footballing-evolution.html Unfortunately due to the format I can't get this to work on the forum - basically it's a "first XI" from each season, starting at 2007/2008.
Very nice job Scottswan. The line-ups for this coming season are remarkable in that both line-ups go put on a good show in the Prem; combined it's going to be incredible.
Why are you (all) so convinced that both Shelvey and Pozuelo are going to be used in CM - positions? I believe they will be used in LM/AM positions. Swansea haven't got too many midfielders. It's just Dyer/Routledge who won't play as much next season as they did in this one...
Fabulous post Scottswan That last image is genius and shows how far we've leaped forward this summer. Great work well done
Err...maybe because that's where they've played up until this point in their career? No-one's ruling that out, but you can't argue that they are, at this point, described as (Shelvey) a central midfielder and (Pozuelo) attacking midfielder/striker.
I mean for the majority of games Bony is going to play the striker and Michu IS going to play attacking midfielder (no 10). To play Pozuelo/Shelvey as "left-attacking-midfielders" (fx Hazard or Iniesta) Will make the number of supposed midfielders smaller. I think that players stricktly living off theÃr speed/off-the-ball abilities (Dyer and Routledge), will become fringe players. The Club isn't buying 6 players and not put them to use!
