lol I don't think so. It's the star, quite possibly the least credible newspaper out there.

Oh, I would absolutely laugh my cock off if you bought him!

Most Spurs fans want shot of him because he can't score, and you Gooners stump up £12 million to take him off our hands!

What a laugh that would be!

I promise you, I will drink champagne the day that news is announced.

    - who do Spurs fans think they're going to get in to replace him?! Being out the CL and not being the richest of clubs the money teams will be like vultures around any decent players they have. Be careful what you wish for.

We've got our eyes on an exceptionally talented young Brazilian striker (who's broken into the Brazil national side), and who we are going to pick up for around £15 million.

What this space and learn, Goons!

Thing about sniffing around Argentina and Brazil is the best ones have pretty much been taken by the biggest clubs - the rest are usually big gambles

The club that we are looking to buy the player off (he's called Leandro) is the same club that we bought Sandro off. It's a Brazilian club who we have a tie-up deal with. Basically, we put a lot of money into helping them with the youth development facilities, and they give us first option on buying any of the players that they produce from it. So, as you might imagine, we have fairly close ties with the club and its players, and we will have been scouting this lad for a long time. I understand that he's scored a fair few goals so far, and is rated among the best young strikers in world football.

Yes, I agree that one always takes a chance with young players (as you Gooners know full well!), but this lad sounds like he's worth taking a chance on. It's all a question of how much we can get him for. We've offered £10 million, but his club are asking £17 million.

Ever seen him play before or is this misplaced optimism?

In truth, I know very little about him. But people who know a lot more about football than I do absolutely rate him.

What I do know is, that we desperately need a decent striker, someone to light up the Lane, because the three clowns we had playing for us this season just gone just aren't doing it. If I'm going to take a chance on anyone, it's going to be on a young Brazilian who's just broken into his national side.

I don't think Damiao is a regular for Brazil or anything so I doubt he is that good. But then again Sandro has worked out well for you so I might be wrong.

Leandro is only 21, so he won't have established himself as a regular quite yet. But the fact that, at such a young age, he's getting picked, and the fact that he is scoring for fun at the moment, all count highly in his favour. I'm quite excited at the prospect of landing him.

    ???

Sandro had a couple of decent months last season (just like Bale), but that's it. Sure he shows promise (just like Bale), but I think it a bit premature to say he was a good buy (just like Bale).

As for Defoe....he spends more time on his arse than Wilshere, but maybe it's a bumhole protection thing what with being surrounded by ladyboy Spuds? Whereas Wilshere has picked up a bad habit of sitting down as he passes.

I'd much rather have Sandro than Wilshere, that much is absolutely for certain. <ok>

Also, I'd much rather you have Defoe and we have Leandro, that much is also for certain. <ok><ok>
