I can't be arsed with his tantrums tbh. He should look at the likes of Giggs and scholes and learn how to behave. The whole team does not revolve round him and his insistence on being top dog is ridiculous. I really do not care whether he plays or not. All I care is that DM does not sell him to the Chavs (or to £ity - which Fergie stopped). If he comes to his senses he will knuckle down and play as a team member. Otherwise he can rot.
What a ****ing long way Swansea is and I'm pissed wet through but happier than any football pundit/ journalist /Chelsea or city fan !!!! We smashed it tonight - are you listening Maureen ? Just the start we needed , already 3 points better off than last year and it's only week one, roll on a week next Monday and I wouldn't bet against a Rooney hat trick !
Personally I'm not convinced Welbeck will ever have a 'breakthrough season' (which is usually an overhyped concept anyway imo). I think he found his level in the 11/12 season - a great support player for the main striker who will work hard for the team and chip in with 10-15 goals a season. Last season was just a case of 2nd season syndrome imo, combined with us buying a proven and prolific goalscorer which was always going to suppress the development of a young striker. I'd honestly be perfectly happy if Welbeck stayed around his current (not last season's) level with gradual improvement. It was essentially what Sheringham did for us for four very successful seasons, and if Welbeck can use his pace like Sheringham used his brain then we'll have a great player. He'll also be much less likely to get an ego on him, which is probably the biggest hindrance to the career development of young players in the modern game, particularly English ones.
I only count six or seven players in the celebration, which means at least one or two other weren't celebrating with the team either. Probably why the Daily Fail cut the photo in half. They also showed another photo of Rooney not celebrating, with Valencia even further from the celebration and looking even less interested.
Obviously the goal we conceded was because of Welbeck's immaturity in trying yo do it all by himself. But if you lookat his game, he is such a natural footballer. Tall and strong, but lovely touch and balance, decent passing ability and unlike most British players, comfortable on the ball. To go with that, he is also fearless and not scared to try new things (I'm looking at you Cleverly). Kagawa and Welbeck should be a formidable attacking support for vanPersie this year.
doesn't that suggest he is not happy? may be his Mrs is not letting him have any $ex beside, sorry not really ... he did celebrated Walcott goal, then he raised his arms when Welbeck scored .. he did neither yesterday
Rooney not celebrating concerned me during the match. However overall the team looked great. As for the idiots on here trying to claim Moyes is a nobody, has it escaped your notice he is the Manager of Manchester United, so yer I think people all over the world of football know who he is!
