news in the south is that us ( brighton ) are after him a few bids rejected just wanna no what you watford fans think of him ???
At his best, he's bloody brilliant. If he did what he's capable of doing for 90 minutes, 25-30 times a season, he would probably have been at Wembley today. As someone who has followed Ashley Young's career, I feel qualified to say that. "Late bloomer" is probably the phrase I'm looking for.
thanks North North Watford, by the looks of things we have lost Elliott Bennett to Norwich, i think that Poyet sees him as a replacement for Bennett do you think you would let him go ??? reports are that you have rejected a big around 500.000 / 750.000 ???
I'd be gutted if he went for a penny less than £2m with a sell-on clause. Although admittedy there's no way Brighton would spend that sort of money. The reason I put the price so high is that it's clear as day that he has the raw materials to be in the Ashley Young or Adam Johnson bracket. It may be that he doesn't go on to realise that promise, but when you're buying someone that good, that should be the risk you take.
As Norway alludes to, if you bid well below his value you've got a great chance of landing him. You've already done step one, that is put in a ridiculously low offer (about £500k, I think it was). Step two is to make a miniscule improvement on that bid. Ball's in your court...
fair play, by the sounds of things its someone gus poyet thinks very highly off and rates highly, with the money we get from Elliott Bennett witch is around 1 million + add ons wouldnt be serpirzed if he uses the money from that
He's rough around the edges... But he's quick (which always means he's valuable) and he's creative too. His main weaknesses are consistency and his first touch....improve those and the sky is the limit.
Very good I would say, our illustrious owner has already said every offer would be snapped up,sorry I meant considered!
Well I'd take anything over 1.5 million for Buckley as he is prettty raw and doesn't seem to really fit into MM plans too often but Rochdale have a high sell on clause and well if the lad was just a bit more consistent he'd be very good with the pace and skill. All young wingers are a bit in and out though...trouble is some of our fans expect great things every game.
i hope you don't get him...i can't see you not getting him, i just hope it's not for a ludicrous price but after today, who knows...
I think the guys that had us down for relegation favourites last season , may have been 12 months early!
I wouldn't say anything about how our team will be next year just yet! Buckley wasn't played too often this season despite so many of us calling for him; we survived Sure Danny Graham will go, we've known that for a while; there's strikers to take his place--> potentially Phillips could chip in a few goals! High earners have been cut; wages therefore may not be so much of a deal breaker for us trying to sign players and Conway looks set to step into where Buckley may well be leaving apparently!
Thought Conway was going to palace its this other player that stephenson wants that worries me ,coz I have a sneaky feeling its cowie and that would be a loss , then we are lacking a creative midfielder over the age of 18! KP was considering Walsall!
I did hear Palace were looking at Conway too actually :/ but just gotta hope that these rumours/deals will turn to be as positive as possible for us. My point basically is that we were expecting to lose Graham but I think we could survive the loss of Buckley. If you're right about Cowie too... *sighs*
