There was technically two SAS's - Shearer and Sutton for Blackburn, and Shearer and Sheringham for England.

I suppose there was Sheringham and Solskjaer at Man Utd as well.

Well I bet there were loads. Almost every team probably has 2 people with surnames starting with S, just Sky are only interested in big clubs.

I'd be more interested to see if there was a NAVY or YMCA in a team.

Spurs had a 'Famous Five' attack in the 90s consisting of Klinsmann, Sheringham, Anderton, Barmby and Dumitrescu.

They also had a stumpy war-losing **** in charge. Funnily enough Sky didnt often use that moniker.

I always remember on Fantasy Football League Baddiel and Skinner went on about 3 Villa players whose names followed one another in the matchday line-up to say Brown Arce Hole.

That was absolutely lovely. I wonder if the Norwich fan still thinks we can't pass.

idiot though he is (whoever he is) i doubt his opinion will have changed much from that game. Both sides were terrible at ball retention, and often passed the ball directly to the opposition. Neither of us were able to score from open play.

Couldn't believe how limp Norwich were.

Thought it would be all hands to the pump when Sagbo was sent off.

    But no.

Comfortable win knocking the Canaries off their perch.

    Hughton Out !

we struggle away for tactics and setup and it seems we are no different with our new personnel. RVW didn't get a chance today, he made some nice space, but his supply line was happier taking long range speculative potshots. Oh well, long season ahead!

I thought we passed the ball really well once we settled, and that was with 10 men. And as for the long ball game <laugh>

What we did struggle to do,was create chances and that may well be a problem all season.

Norwich were not able to play through us at all. I think our discipline and heart was fantastic, we made it so tough for them to make the extra man count.

Agreed Party. It wasn't a classic game for the neutral but our performance off the ball, particularly when down to 10 men, was amazing. I've not seen us defend lile that since we beat Arsenal away.

We passed it nicely at times but it was the defending from the front that won us the game.

I thought it was Bill Shankly that said that, or maybe he was the Archbishop of Canterbury also.

Thought Norwich had no cutting edge even against our 10 men. We haven't given up a goal in the last 150 minutes and are obviously hard to break down. If Davies can keep that form Woy will need to consider him.

Redmond was the only one who looked like scoring. RVW did nothing other than the one header. Elmander is past it.
