just seen the goals of your game. oxfords 2nd looked like a foul in the box to you before the shot was made. ouch!
To be honest I thought it was a foul at the time too but after witnessing the amount of playacting as I have this afternoon I have absolutely no sympathy for them
just got back & we made oxford look like a sunday pub team that had been on the p**s saturday night they had run out of ideas after the first 15 mins. The wanderers lost the concentration after the sending off but apart from a turn & shot from kitson oxford never threatened. They picked themselves up we got a penalty? but why take deano off. kuffor they should come to mutal agreement over his contract. the whole team deserve the credit after a performance like that. oxford were found out today & it looks like oxford are another team we could well finish above. Doherty & Johnson with McCoy & Dunne were great & when you think of the age of some of our side. We have got a good future. How an earth is Durso still a ref after a performance like that it was very poor what he let go then did'nt.
What planet are you on playacting! a shoulder to the chest and your fairy goes down like he's been shot if it had stayed 11 v 11 we would have ran out comfortable winners
Agree totally Phil Hope we can turn Billy Knott's one month into a season loan and now having seen Steven Craig he looks like the partner up front for Deano I would have bitten your hand off to get a draw before the game but we should have taken all three points if only we had a fair ref
amazing performance from the whole team (minus JPP) but especially billy knott, who actually made scowens effort look average, the doc and Johnson who were solid at the back and deano who had far too much quality for oxford to handle having seen the decision again I can see why Charles dunne was sent off, but I think it was harsh and had it not have happened we'd have gone on and taken the 3 points which we deserved. what makes it even worse was oxfords 96th minute equaliser where there was a blatant foul on Sammy wood in the buildup... same old D'Urso though, we thought the game would revolve around him and he didn't disappoint
Johnson did not take a knock - FACT!! This happened right in front of the East Stand and unless you're an Oxford fan at that end of the ground there is no way you can tell me otherwise. 7 minutes was an absolute minimum added time, regardless of whether they were playacting or 'real' injuries. I will agree that your lot were the better team and probably deserved to win but watching someone blatantly throwing himself to the floor leaves a sour taste in the mouth and got what it deserved in the 96th minute. Just one quick question though, for a game that is referred to as your derby why the small away crowd yesterday? You normally bring a few more than that don't you?
I agree 7 minutes was a fair amount of time, but LJ is the sort of player who very rarely goes to ground injured so its normally real if he does so... also it took D'Urso such a logn time to let LJ back on that you probably benifitted more from the stoppage than we did! in regards to the crowd, its early on in the season, we put in one of our worst performances in some years the previous week, ticket prices were quite high and as per normal in the summer people are on holiday will have all accounted for a smaller crowd than normal I would guess (though I was a little disappointed with the turnout but at least we were quite vocal!). plus whilst its our rivelry this season I think a lot of our fans feel more rivelry towards franchise or col u , as i know you do towards swindon
