Tim Krul 8 - Fantastic save from a deflected free kick.

Mathieu Debuchy 6.5 - Improved performance but nothing much to highlight

Mapou Yanga Mbiwa 8 - His best game yet for us, rock solid but needs to show what he's got in the air. MOTM

Fabriccio Coloccini 8 - Neat and tidy and brought the ball into the centre of the park when possible, almost on the scoresheet.

Davide Santon 7 - Decent display of dribbling and close control and a pretty good cross after moving the ball to his right foot today.

Hatem Ben Arfa 7 - Gave possession away today and frustrated the supporters in the first half but scored a fantastic effort to win the points.

Moussa Sissoko 6.5 - Charged forward when possible and helped the back four. Just a standard performance from Sissoko today.

Vurnon Anita 6.5 - Gave Parker and Sidwell a run for their money but no defense splitting passes today, maybe next week ;)

Sylvain Marveaux 6 - Struggled today in offense, couldn't construct or influence much and didn't utilize his pace much either.

Shola Ameobi 5 - Bullied nobody and Aaron Hughes had a comfortable battle with Shola today.

Pappis Cisse 5 - Couldn't hold the ball up, play any decent balls, didn't carve even a half chance, get into any good positions. Just underwhelming.

Yohan Cabaye 5.5 - Instantly gave a free kick in a dangerous spot. But at least put in an effort to change the game.

Yohan Gouffran 5 - £1.5m was supposed to be a bargain, not a complete waste. Just doesn't look good enough quite frankly.

Loic Remy 7 - Looked lively and provided an assist for Hatem's winner, maybe we're onto something with remy here.

Sissoko was a beast. At times he looked like Viera.

Tim Krul 7 - *average* save from a deflected free kick. He should really be catching those, not palming it into danger, he barely had to move to get it. He did make one actual good save and was tidy the rest of the time, but had so little to do.

Mathieu Debuchy 8 - Whole-hearted performance, he was pretty class in defence for once, and was chasing everything like a rabid pitbull. Much MUCH better.

Mapou Yanga Mbiwa 8 - He's like a black Colo...

    Fabriccio Coloccini 8 - He's like a white yanga...

Davide Santon 6 - Hit and miss.

Hatem Ben Arfa 8.5 - Great goal, our creative heart, and pretty much the only one with much invention.

Moussa Sissoko 6 - Not his best game, but not his worst either. His presence was useful, but he wasn't really effective.

Vurnon Anita 7.5 - Neat and tidy, well played and barely put a foot wrong doing his job.

Sylvain Marveaux 6 - Unlucky more than anything today. Has vision, and that much was obvious on several occasions when idiotic forwards or tiny deflections to his pass prevented a goal-scoring opportunity. Need to keep this lad around because he is a decent footballer.

Shola Ameobi 4 - Just Shola... Slow, ponderous, easily dealt with all game. least he can pass it to a team-mate, which is more than can be said for his strike partner.

Pappis Cisse 2 - Horrible performance. He gets a 2 for making a couple of decent runs... But he missed great chances, wasted potential chances, and gave the ball away all game.

    Yohan Cabaye - Who?

Yohan Gouffran 6 - Not a finisher at all, but he's got a bit of pace and a bit of guile. No more than a useful squad player though.

Loic Remy 7 - Can't wait to see what he's like at full fitness.

Loic Remy looks like a really really decent player. So composed on the ball, especially when you compare him to the erratic Cisse.

He did look very good and looked the catalyst for the excellent final 20 minutes. A word of caution though - remember how effective Sissoko and to a lesser extent Gouffran looked soon after we signed them. A few games later and once Pardew had finished instructing them how he wanted them to play/low team morale infected them (take your pick!) they were as bad as the rest of our team.

Sissoko is so lazy at times. Personally I thought Anita was pretty good. I like his movement in midfield, gets us playing properly. Sissoko is a beast but I just wish he gave a **** a bit more. He does a Shola and just switches off. Basically he needs to get more animated and realise he has to play the full 90mins. Benni has to star passing and crossing more.

What a difference Remy made. He confirmed everything I thought about Cisse. He can't play as a lone front man or with someone as immobile as Shola. Remy brought pace, movement but more than anything strength and an ability to hold the ball. It instantly brought movement into our play because others could get beyond. Debuchy was excellent today. All 4 defenders were and I'd give all an 8. Santon is really impressing me, much more mature selective fullback play.

I think it's been generally missed how much of a difference Santon actually made, especially second half.

We got a lot more width today and it really opened the game up and provided acres of space – very much like we played it last time Fulham were here.
Gave us so many options with people moving and interchanging, looking like they wanted the ball.

But Santon overlapping and crossing balls in, cutting in etc allowed the forwards stay up the middle and also drag defenders back and open up the flanks.

Ok service wasn't always wonderful from either side but I think Santon really helped to give Fulham another offensive threat in tipping the balance.

I've said before I don't think he's the world's best defender but I think today showed we've missed him.

I really don't understand these people talking garbage about Gouffran not being a finisher. He was one of the top scores in Ligue 1 and he scored a few goals last season, including headed and ground goals.

Cisse has missed a **** load of chances, but he's not a **** finisher. It's all about form.

Tash man... Your nan could score in ligue 1. Gouff's clearly not a finisher, and Papiss is just bizarrely bi-polar at finishing, and a terrible footballer apart from that.

He isn't really. Cisse is having to come out of position frequently to mark players and to play parts in a move. He was anonymous quite often, but I really disagree with people who say he's not a good footballer. His passing is better than the average strikers.

Well if Ameobi is taken as being less than average, Cisse made him look like Beckham today <ok>

Thought Anita had a decent game, neat and tidy without being brilliant.

Krul did what needed to be done.

    Shola was Shola,

Santon, Debuchy and Sissoko were solid.

Colo and Mbiwa were top notch and HBA and Remy look like two match winners for us.

Cabaye's heart isn't in it and we need a replacement for him. Another venture into France?

Cisse was poor and I don't think we'll miss him too much.

All in all a pretty good team performance that we can't grumble too much about. When they've played together a bit more they can only get better.

The thing with Cisse is he is one of types whose game is bi polar. When his confidence is high, his general game improves. When he is short on confidence like at present, the ball looks a foreign object to him and his passing is woeful.

His stock game and level is an unknown really but I'd hazard a guess his general game is some way short of the top players.

Cisse is a finisher. Not a footballer.

It was just nice to see us completely dominate a game. Fulham surprised by how negative they were. They defended quite well but it would have been criminal if we hadn't won. We just have to kick on. 2 or 3 quality players would radically change the squad.

Sissoko looked a different player as soon as there was movement ahead of him and space to charge into. That's what he needs to be effective apparently. If we're going to play Shola there's no point in player Moussa.

Bit harsh on the Gouf. He works, runs, creates space and at least stuff happens when he's on the pitch. If we get another striker in (Ba hopefully) I think we actually have a lot of attacking options suddenly.

    Where's Obertan btw?

Rumours Obertan is on his merry way. I just hope we get one of the wingers out there at present. Ince, McManaman, Moses etc. I would quite like Frei from Fulham, not sure what has happened there. Farmed out on loan last season, then rumours of 2m move to Galatasaray?? We desperately need a winger and striker. It would change the whole squad. If Cabaye goes I'd be happy with a McCarthy or Will Hughes. Its a shame we're so tight, if we signed Rhodes and Ince I think we'd be good to go.

Am I the only one who thought sissoko was sh#t yesterday? his movement into space was terrible, when Fulham were on the edge of our box he was sauntering around the half way line. When we were on the attack he was, again, sauntering around the half way line. For me Anita was much more affective and should have stayed on when cabaye came on. He just looked so dissinterested.

Have to disagree on cabaye not looking interested, he gave more of a toss than sissoko and shola did.

Thought the back 4 played well, although a couple of silly mistakes thankfully weren't punished!
