Whether at the Toon or elsewhere do you think Sammy Ameobi will eventually make it in the premiership?
Also... what do you think is his best position as there has been talk of playing him on the wing.....

Personally I think that he won't.
He'll end up a good Championship player though.

Like to be wrong, but I think he's one notch below being a premiereship winger.

If he put on 30 pounds of muscle and kept his pace, he might make it as a striker but I doubt that will happen either.

I think he will make it as a premiership player.
    But, maybe not with us.

I say that because of his surname, which will hang round his neck like a tonne weight as long as he with us.
He will forever be tainted with the Shola enigma and won't be given a fair chance at SJP.

He will probably leave us and go to a Championship club, where he will re-build his career and make it too the PL.

Not for me. Too lightweight and very hit and miss. Needs to keep his head up. Championship at best.

He needs more experience, a full season with a championship club. Maybe, he could be solid but probably not awesome.

Wouldn't say he was lazy but as others have said he'd be much better and dangerous if he bulked up a bit.

Depends if by "make it" you mean play regularly for a premier league team, in which case the answer is entirely dependent on whether we continue to scrape 40 points or not, or if you envisage one fan turning to another at a premier league game and going "That Sammy is cracking player", in which case <laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>... although I'm sorry to make light of mental illness...

Sammy has got nearly all the same problems a young Shola had (pacey but gangly dribbling so even he doesn't know where he's going, pretty poor technique, no composure whatsoever, can't even dominate in the air despite being massive) and if you look at old Shola now you can pretty much see how his younger brother's career will end.

To be honest, if I couldn't tell how things would turn out for either of them, and I was offered Sammy or Shola at the same age, I'd plump for Shola!

I think he is naturally a wide forward and I can't see him reaching his potential because we just don't have the right set up for the youths. They don't drill their techniques or utilise their brain on the field so much. It's all about the physical aspect in this country which is why we are behind. Because we can't evolve our game in England.

At this moment, he has all the physical attributes to do well, but like Obertan, plays as if having a brain is a luxury.

If with experience he understands how to play, and doesn't cross the ball into the box when nobody is inside it again, he might make it.
