It's the formation that got us actually playing well in the 2011/12 season and it should never have been changed.

    Everyone benefits from it.

We look defensively solid, the 4 forwards get freedom, and the two defensive mids cover well.

Finally coming round ACS. Me and Jim have an embarrassment of room on the Pardew love in bus, welcome aboard.

Problem last season was that we didn't have a LW to fill that spot consistently. Ba didn't want to play there, nor was he in his most effective position.
We tried Gutierrez there too, but he is far too defensive minded and left Cisse isolated. Gouffran did his best but lacked the presence, and looks like now we've found the answer in Remy.

Additionally in the middle we had a combination of Sissoko/Tiote/Cabaye, each of whom didn't really know their role; who was going to anchor, and who was going to get in support of the front line.

Seems a lot more balanced now. Interestingly it was Cabaye a lot further forward today - think he'll swap with Sissoko's role come the home game vs Hull so he can have more of the ball.

Well there are plenty of seats should you change your mind. I must warn you though, Jim is driver and old bastard keeps nodding off. The only time he seems to liven up is when we either stop at the bookies to put our 3-1's on, or when we pass the through Jesmond and the student ladies are on show.

Jim hasn't driven anything since he drove a tank in the 1914'18 war.

Better to lose the keys than get on board and lose something else.

What would Pards do then without any fans.

Probably lucked into this good form somewhat with the injury to Jonas. We wouldn't have had these last couple of results and performances with him playing. However good for Pardew despite that as I like the guy and want him to succeed. Hope he does realise he's onto a winner here!

Let's hope that the powers that be are on the same wavelength as the fans.
