If it wasn't for this man we would not even be in the prem as no doubt oneil was taking us down anyway. He's brought in 14 players ffs and tried to clear out the dross give the man time.

It's clear now that Ellis has said enough is enough with the transfer funds and who can blame him , looks like there looking at the bigger picture and as a poster said on here yesterday to take a step foward you need to take a step back, I'm sure that di canio had his sights on let's just say more experienced players but it wasn't to be.

We all know this season is going to be yet another struggle and could end in relegation , but if we do stay up I'm sure the team will progress, in my eyes the squad we have this season is better than last and I'm sure plenty of you will disagree with that, but whatever happens guys we carnt keep sacking managers we need stability and if we do go down as much as it would kill me then so be it .

The squad is certainly better than 1 point from 15 and bottom of the league. Under PDC we won 2 games against the mags and Everton which kept us up but we were dreadful outside those 2 games and got a hiding off a relegation haunted Villa amongst that. There is no one that can say with assurity that Mon would not have won 2 games in that gun in and also struggled to safety either.

PDC is so out of his depth it's embarrassing. He is no better than the appointment of Sbragia who also won 2 games in his tenure. Did that make him suitable?

We are going down under PDC and the only 2 questions fans need to ask themselves are these.

    1. Are we happy to continue with that?

    2. Are we not happy to continue with that?

Its clear he's completely out of his depth now and the only way we will stay up (Just like the last two seasons) is a change of manager. If he stays i fear we'll come perilously close to our 15 point season. This isn't me being doom and gloom its just realistic.

I think we have a squad with some decent players that the right manager could get going.

Remember that Di Canio is 'Head Coach' they aren't his players they weren't chosen by him. His job is to coach and manage the playing squad and he is failing miserably unfortunately and the longer it goes on the harder it is for the next manager to pick up the pieces.

Just get rid of him..If we got relegated then so be it..but at least have a manager where we would stand a chance of coming back up..with this guy..no chance

This is where Di Matteo is the perfect fit. If he came in and couldnt keep us up id have faith in him to bring us straight back up stronger.

Utter crap the guy worked wonders at Swindon and he is a winner. Why is de Fantis getting away with all of this they are his players not di canios.
One thing also says a lot to me, huddlestone was his main target (like him or not) and for us not being able to get him ahead of hull says a lot

Im not saying I want rid of pdc as I have loved his passion and the things he says from day one but... you can only make so many excuses so many times and im sorry but to keep saying we've brought in 14 new players and they take time to gel is now tired and empty.. we are not the only team to have recieved a raft of new players and they have managed to gel over pre season hull have increased the depth of their squad considerably and have 7 points. I worry about pdc's inexperience, surely he knows that you have to have a first choice 11 and stick with it. We are not chelsea or man city with a squad depth that enables you to rotate your 11 week on week out and still get a result. Continuity is key to get the new lads to gel. I do like PDC and I believe he will, in time become a top top manager but in the process I worry that his learning curve has taken I steep upturn too early in his career and it could pull us down. This not just a bad start to the season but a terrible one, yes we are only 5 games in but of those 5 at least 4 we would/should have been looking to win and at worst two wins two draws and an 8 point total.. We look totally demoralised and the problem now is that the dressing room will be full of little whispers of the discontent of being trained so hard and denied so much without results. As I said at the top I'm not saying I want him gone but if we were to lose to the posh and suffer humiliating defeats to united and Liverpool then I don't really see an alternative cause we need to stop the rot before its too late. would di mateo come.. I'm not sure..

This the players are Fanti's not Di Canio's is bull! Di Canio will have had a say in who stayed and who went look at his remarks about Sess over the past week (that one really came back to bite us on the arse). It's his team, his tactics or lack of, his complete lack of man management skills! No more excuses!

His management ability is perfectly suited to the lower leagues and hopefully he will be back there in the very near future but hopefully not with us.

I reckon most like minded SAFC fans will support the team and the manager during a game. I always have and always will. But in forums like this (after all this is the whole point of these things) we express our opinion. My personal opinion is, he was a bad choice to start with and things are getting pretty much untenable for him. If Short is the business man we all hear about, I would give PDC this week if we are beaten off Peterborough or next Monday if we get thumped again at the weekend

I think he has a lot to learn that's for sure, but we have had the tried and tested in MON and Bruce without success, so I'm willing to give him time..

Totally agree. 5 games in !! WTF? Its a long long season. 5 games is knack all for the Lads to gel. In 2 months friendships are NOT made. The lads need a Party !! <party> LOL. Its not only a game of 2 halfs, it can be a SEASON of 2 halfs !!! I remember when HCFC were flying high at Xmas 2008/9 on 27pts (8th)thinking WTF, they only survived by 1pt on 35 (with the Scum being relegated !!) I for one am banking on an upturn in fortunes once the Lads see the "Light". Haway the Lads man. FTM.
