    This is rather thought provoking.
I just managed to get my left foot into the 'pro Pardew' camp Jim and Pouchy were setting up too....

    http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/alan-pardew-points-finger-at-fans/?

Were you in Newcastle the other week when 50,000 angry Toon fans blockaded Northumberland Street?

Did you witness the protest when all of the home fans refused to leave the ground after the West Ham game?

    Me neither.

(ED: This article was written by Rob BEFORE yesterday’s Hull defeat, makes this piece all the more telling)

Despite this relative inactivity, the fans are accused of “over-reacting” to the transfer window fiasco and the impact it will have on our chances this season.

In this morning’s Guardian, Alan Pardew is quoted and he makes this very point. He believes the fans have over-reacted, not just the media.

On what does he base this analysis? Perhaps it’s because we have won a couple of games on the trot and have picked up a few points.

He seems to be saying that the Joe Kinnear appointment and the transfer window debacle were nothing to get fussed about. We should all relax and enjoy the season as we journey once more to the heady heights of Europa League qualification.

He and the club he is speaking for hope the fans will swallow this and forget what has actually happened over recent months.

But if all was well when JK arrived, why did Pardew bite his tongue and make no comment about it for weeks? He was as angry as the fans were, that’s why.

And why did AP participate in the hype over potential incoming transfers, say we needed “one or two over the line” and have no problem with Arsenal’s early interest in Cabaye.

AP contributed to the overheated atmosphere during the summer, so should not be blaming the fans for their very reasonable and measured reaction to it.

Clearly the club hopes the fans memories are even shorter than they actually are (and let’s be honest, our memories are notoriously short as far as NUFC are concerned). They want us to move on (again) and look to the future.

So it’s sackcloth and ashes for the fans. How dare we express concern about the future of our club. We need to know our place, pay our money and do what we are told.

Nothing against WHU but I have heard there might be a protest at game against Liverpool in October.
Not against Pardew and players but Ashley and JK.

I find myself doing this so often in pards' reign.
Couple of good results bring optimism
Lasts till around wednesday when Pards makes some comment suggesting he knows far more than the fans
OR he makes some comment akin to 'brushing aside' the next opponents or that 4th is a realistic aim.
Then we lose, naturally, and the loss is felt much harder thanks to Pards setting us up for the embaressing fall.
He evidently likes to think he has the gift of the gab but he needs to wind his neck in and remember he's the same 'wordsmith' that managed to say rape on live telly

I was thinking of making the trip up to St. James' this season. But with all that's going on I feel that my money can be better spent else where. Not putting money in that fat fu&@ers pockets any more!

Pardew is a stuffed puppet and simply does what he's told.

How do you think he's survived this long?

Mike Ashley likes having his 'lap-dog' who will do whatever little media tricks he's told to do.

It seems having no personal pride is a 'skill' that Ashley likes in his Manager.

He's only employed because Ashley is owner. That's our challenge - it wouldn't matter who the fans felt would be best, we'd always be beholden to the magical, unfathomable world of Mike Ashley. Who knows what the owner thinks. Maybe it's because he does the opposite to logic. Maybe it's a debt owed. Maybe it's because the owner just doesn't care. Maybe it's because the manager is about right in terms of ambition.

Given what we know, who else is there? Lee Clark trying to manage Ben Arfa and Cabaye?! Alrighty then.

Complete bottom feeder, puppet and all round mouth piece. If we do badly in the next couple of games he better hope we get some sort of result in the derby because if we lose he needs to **** right off out the club. I'm sick and tired of his constant array of excuses and bull****.

I actually think that given our tough run of games leading up to the derby that a defeat in that and he'll be gone.
