I just wonder how much difference there was between Roy Keane's reign and PDC's ?

Did Keano put his arm around players and mollycoddle them ? I doubt it .. has the game changed so much since then that players just have more power ?

I heard that RK used to blank players who were out of favour.

I just wonder how much of it is about the players not performing and having bad attitudes rather than PDC being a tw*t.

I'm sure he has a lot to learn, however, I can't help wondering if there is more rot behind the scenes which is down to the establishment.

Just my humble opinion mind you.

I was still undecided right up until the death tbh, the approaching the fans thing after losing again to a bottom side (both of which have only picked up wins against us) started to sway me. Then once the mentalist was sacked and the canteen and gym stuff started leaking i was convinced ellis was right to sack him.

    The next appointment is crucial.

Cheers for the mags victory pdc and everton, that is all really.

Right man at the right time but not our future, would he have turned it round? Inho nee chance.

For the record i know i dont want, bally, gus, pulis, rdm or zola.

But then i dont know who i do want either!

Head busting decision to make but then maybe we have had cv's from others we havnt even considered on this forum yet, you never know

To an outsider he was pure entertainment admittedly and generally for the for all the wrong reasons- the media didn't help his cause from day 1 - to be fair his passion was unquestionable ...and it was good while it lasted- the beating of Newcastle (and his dirty knees) will stay in memories of the supporters a lot longer than his misgivings I reckon.
The statement he supposedly makes above will help put into balance some of the mistruths that may have been said over the last few days .
I wish him well in his endeavours

This whole thing is farcical. These players have now got 3 managers the sack. If they performed like they think they can maybe bruce would still be in charge. Something is rotten at safc. Good luck paolo, you would have done wonders here given the time. Who next?

I thank PDC for helping to keep us up, but would like to find out about Cabral, Catts, Manone.

    Jury still out for me.

Let's let the players pick who's boss shall we , they seem to have a lot to say about the matter.if they played half as good as they talked then we would prob be 17 th now lol.
At the end of the day dicanio kept us in the prem end off he should have had more time but didn't so we move on to another manager then , the board are just as guilty for this mess

I'm not saying he wasn't mate and for the record, i wish to **** he had succedded cos i saw signs that we were at least trying to play football instead of that dross served up by MON. You have to admit tho, he was a bit of a heed the ball? you can't expect long term results in the EPL with his attitude, not IF all the stories are correct about him anyway.

He's gone and we have to move on replace him ASAP.

    You missed my point mate.

I saying that keeping us up and winning at Newcastle is better than some have managed.

Most if your talking winning at the wongadrome, so it begs the question do we had our pash to bring someone in until the home tie and whoever it is gets the opportunity to make legendary status or on the other hand gets off to the worst possible start?

Pdc had his own chants, canvasses, t-shirts, you-tube clips, front pages on our fanzines, he must have felt invincible! All hail paolo! For a bit! Once it comes down to brass tacks all we fans want is to not get beat, conceding 3 in our last 4 is kack, probably concede another 3+ on sat so no point bringing anybody in b4 then coz u could bet your bottom dollar saf will be somewhere near the dressing room

Some might say that's a lot to achieve in 13games! Might be worth noting he also took points from 50% of his games and kept us in the league cup. All while the team was nose diving when he took over, then having to integrate 12 non English speaking foreigners who he didn't sign into a squad of lazy arseholes who do do not give a stuff about our club and haven't for 3 managers now.

The bloke was **** on. I believe 100% there was no training ground bust up as he's an honest character. I believe they didn't have the balls to confront him and went behind his back to whine to Maggie Byrne. ****ing cowards!

MAXIMUM RESPECT PAOLO, ALL THE BEST FOR THE FUTURE!

Facts are pdc had a 17% win ratio after 13 games, 10th worst in history

Bally has a 9% win ratio after 12 top flight games 4th worst in history

(Based on being manager for 10 games or more in the prem)

How was your soul weekend mate?
