He's done really well;it's a pity we have to wait to play Russia and Slovakia because he really has them humming now. They need to play like they have been in the last few games to get out of this group and I fear this rich vein of form may not last until then. Here's hoping though. As for Trap's critics, we must never forget that nobody is above criticism of the constructive variety.
A great win in fairness! Dont think any of us thought we would beat a strong Italy team with that team! Like twins said though it would be nice to play Russia and Slovakia now while the team is in a winning mood but hopefully the confidence will last!
Of course the confidence will last. Why will it not. The most dramatic improvement we have seen in this campaign is the fact that we now seem to be able to hang on to leads and indeed go on and score another goal. For the first time in years i honestly believe we have the players at our disposal who are capable of getting results against the big sides of International Football.
All he's done is beat a few reserve teams and now he's brilliant If he gets the team to Euro2012 then it'll be a good achievement but until then I think you should all calm down a bit
Rubbish Username1882. Don't take anything away from our fine away win in Macedonia. 85 degree heat, hostile atmosphere against a very technically skilled side. People like me who have been following this side for years can see the vast improvements in this side over the last year. We at last have strength in depth in our squad. Don't forget too that for the last 4 matches (which incidentally we won) the ROI were without the services of Duff,Dunne and Doyle. 3 very important experienced players. We haven't been able to field a "full strenght side" since the 2-1 home win to Macedonia in March. If we can keep this momentum going be are well on target for picking up at least 4 points from our next two EURO Qualifiers - Slovakia (H) and Russia (A). Maybe even 6.
