Great point. That proved most of us wrong. Great effort from the players, showed some resilience for once. Well done Pards too, tactically spot on today.

Not sure what Tiote was doing so deep on the sending off but no excuses for Mbiwa, absolute numbnuts. Did ok up to that point but he still came charging out without thought a couple of times. Lad is really struggling but he needs a bit of support from the coaching staff at times like this. They've done a cracking job helping Debuchy, hopefully he can maintain his current level and Mbiwa can follow. Still early days for them.

Tiote was terrific again today. Everyone did well bar maybe HBA who is a talent but a bloody lazy arse. Unfamiliar role, trying to give him a bit of freedom but he just doesn't understand that you need to be on it for 90mins. Up until Cabaye's opener he just wouldn't close down. Then he had a spell where he did the job well. Frustrating lad.

Think we'd have won but for the sending off.

Just back from match and catching up with match blog. No way on the planet was the penalty/sending off Tiote's fault. How can it be. He was hurt, was down, slow to get up ( as he was hurt) and then moved up the pitch. Just exactly how did that cause M'Biwa to let Suarez get on his wrong side and then tug at Suarez. Fail to see how Tiote could be blamed.

<laugh> I think Swansea have missed a trick if they are not following Vitesse in putting Boney M on everytime he scores.

Ah I was wondering what Tiote was doing. My eyes were elsewhere. Completely Mbiwa's fault. Obviously just unfortunate Tiote played them on but no need to get yourself sent off. A pen, sending off or back your keeper to stop their striker scoring. No brainer surely?

I reckon the record is on if we turn them over at the Stadium of ****e. That is a big if but we seem to be getting some form.

Thats more like it, showing some fight and resilience. I think we thoroughly deserved our point today and maybe we would have taken all three if we had kept eleven players on the pitch. Pardew's substitutions were spot on and for me DeBuchy was Man of the Match.
Dummet is looking a real prospect for the future and deserves more game time as so far he has stepped up to the mark every time he has been called on.
    Roll on next weekend.

He should still be aware of what is going on in front of him and communicate though. Mbiwa and Willo both thought they had successfully played Suarez offside, before Tiote came ambling up from behind them.

No excusing Mbiwa's decision making though. Once Suarez had gone, he needs to let Krul deal with it.

To be fair Debuchy was excellent today and had a point to prove after his stupidity in last season's reverse.

His best full game in an NUFC shirt no question (and little competition) so hopefully he'll take confidence from it and improve.

Happier now his best mate is staying and smiling? Who knows...

Not a bad day after all, with Hull, Cardiff, Norwich and Mackems all losing - especially with three of them taking a hammering on goal difference. Plus Stoke and WBA didn't gain any ground on us. After thinking we'd get stuffed once it was 1-1 and we were down to 10 men, the rest if the day couldn't have much better really. Could have do e with Everton sticking a few more past Hull, but never mind. :)
