Nice goal from Chevvy....unlucky with offside call aswell denying him a 2nd... AJ looking good.....plenty of energy
Incenzo's incorrect, that wasn't chevanton's first goal I don't think- didn't he get one + set one up in another EDS game? Lennox has got a crappy goal kick
Another Chevanton goal, Philips finally woke up and provided the cross, someone must have told him Redknapp was in the stands.
Have AJ & Cheevy now given Harry a nice selection problem for Saturday, both looked sharp & Phillips improved in 2nd half.....
Chevanton is easily Ready for 1st team football, AJ looked okay but did nothing special, Phillips was disappointing. I don't think Harry will make any major changes, but hopefully Chevanton gets 30 mins at the end of the game.
Saw Harry as he was going in and he is still on crutches but seems quite sprightly. And Bircham looks like he has been pumping iron in the gym. Hitchcock dropped back to midfield and appears to have a good football brain. Some good link up between the two slapheads up front. Good fun that and nice to not have to queue up for the latrines..
Unfortunately I missed the announcement, or I may also have been "distracted" at work earlier in the day. Likely just as well, since my morning turned out to be extremely busy, with lots of people in and out of the office, so would have been a bit difficult for me with UStream on. Great result - looks like our Chevy is firing on all cylinders to supplement our trusty Austin.
I went to the game. I thought AJ was the most professional looking player on the pitch, with Chevanton coming in second. AJ made a lot of good passing and was good off the ball. He was always active and must have been thinking of it as a really good chance to practice and gain fitness. Chevanton does look good, in my opinion. He's a really useful player in that he's always getting somewhere, trying to be in a good place or make a good pass. He's certainly not afraid to shoot any time he's given an ounce of space. I think he'll be good for us. He has a really grafter attitude. Phillips looked off the pace and I don't know why. He never managed to create much space for himself. With that said, he was working in a part of the park that had a lot of high pressure, so he had a tough job to do. But he has got pace and did manage to skin a few players. I'm not quite sure about him, though. Definitely not at the level of starting 11 yet. Bench is fine for him as a possible sub for Hoilett or anyone else working on the wings. Hitchcock would not be out of place in the first team right now. I'm not saying he should have a space against others at all but he's good as a substitute and good if we run into any injury problems. He can play in attack or midfield, which is handy. But the main thing I noticed about him was his style and comfort on the ball. He plays quite professionally and has a decent mind for the sport. He will make a career for himself but who knows if it'll be at QPR.
Agree with others AJ looked good. Was very impressed with Petrasso - hope he gets an opportunity for a few training sessions with the first team squad to see how he is progressing towards the step up; looked hungry and lively. Chevanton certainly likes to get involved and put his chances away.
