Hoping for a good result at Manchester, as good a time as any to be playing them. I'm going for a 2-0 win for us.

Not looking forward to this game, as without Bony and Michu, we are clueless up front, and our other Striker 'Aloe-vera' is crap, so hoping Shelvey can get on the score sheet, though still going for a Toon win (2-1), wish we had Borini, how the hell he went to that crap Makem team, I'll never know, anyway safe journey to those that travel, and go easy on us! .......................

That's weak for me from Pardew, small club mentality of 'if it ain't broke'. Shows he hasn't really got any faith in Anita, Ben Arfa or Cisse to do the job. As everyone rightly points out, the squad is too thin if you can't make changes in the midweek fixture.

Worst thing for Pardew is if we get beat tonight (entirely likely) then it was utterly foolish to pick the strongest XI. If we get bookings for Cabs/Sissoko and an injury to someone else, we could be going to OT with zero chance of getting anything. Why? Because Pardew has shown to the squad he doesn't trust anyone outside his first XI, he doesn't really feel he has a squad so when the first team have to play with the subs it creates problems in confidence.

No bookings, no injuries and an easy victory makes me look stupid, though in a good way! We'll see in a couple of hours.
