    Eh?

Debuchy's played well to be fair to him. Always puts in a shift. Very unlucky with the goal.

True enough, against City we couldn't have argued with 10-0...but how many Swans would get in the City side? And there's only one goal difference in result!

    Well that was disappointing...

    Never a 3-0 game though.

I really hope we don't. This is a tough place to come, we had our chances, were against 12 men (Webb had a cracking match for them) and we're just not a club who can expect to win every game. Top 10's the aim, we're well on our way. The likely defeat on Saturday shouldn't dampen that either - it's how we respond after Old Trafford that will test Pardew's (and the fans') mettle.

Hope everyone will stop talking about Tiote "returning to his best" now. Rubbish player.

Fck me - Lewis Holtby just save AVB's job!

But Southampton lost at home to Villa, so we are 7th tonight. We just need to realise that hopes of top 4 are INSANE, and keep them crossed for the best cup draw in history...that's our route to success, same as everyone bar the top 6.

I have mentioned after every win how much I want pardew out so for me its not an over reaction as I say it regardless.
At least Sunderland are 3 more points to the championship

That was ridiculously reactive, unsustainable crap. Tactically, we've really regressed to the stuff at the start of 11/12 - two banks of four, with two big, physically imposing strikers upfront.

In 7th place, I'm happy - just a little dismayed of losing 3-0 to a team without two main strikers.

Howard Webb is a bald ****

    Regardless, we go again!

Totally agree with this. Everything went against us tonight, some of which was self-inflicted, but things could have been very different. Its done now and we've had our rub of the green in other games so no point dwelling on things we can't change.

We did really well at the start of the 11/12 season though. Longest unbeaten start for 17 years if I remember...

It was hugely fortunate and ultimately unsustainable.

Maybe this is not a bad thing, think the last four games has deluded us somewhat and papered over some cracks.

I do think pardew should have made some changes for this one, would love to know where ben arfa was. Orbetan should not be anywhere near the reserves let alone the sub's bench. This has just highlighted what we already know that our squad is woefully short in key areas.

I do also think that we had a stonewall penalty denied and there is no doubt that shelvey should have seen red, so as well as all of the above we also did not get the rub of the green and let's be honest when you factor all of this in we were never going to come away with anything.

Have to say though I am really disappointed with this result but I suppose it was always going to happen at some point.

I feel we missed a big opportunity today though and they were for the taking from the outset and we played into their hands.

    Sorry about the rant.

What on earth is Obertan doing in a Toon shirt? The man is just utter rubbish and shouldn't be allowed on the pitch again because he just doesn't realise that you are supposed to take the ball with you.
