For Shola, a brush to ensure the whiteness and magic of his boots.

For Ben Arfa, the woman who looks at poo to make fat people feel bad.

For Santon, I'd pay for a trip to the hairdresser, Chavvy tosser.

For Cabaye, a sexy little black number I can throw on to get him excited.

So it's all coming out now is it? Did DT leave any little black numbers behind?

A train ticket, for Obertan. And Cisse.

    A new wife, for Coloccini.

A missile guidance system, for Tiote.

A heated seat cushion, for Ben Arfa.

I think we should make this a reality then. We all know moneybags AB can afford it. I haven't been on a round the world voyage.

Or we could just go and watch Ryan Gauld together with Carr. I could then batter them into submission with my obsessive love of his ridiculous skills. Silky little bastard.

That video had better skills from at least 4 other players? Methinks Gauldy has a good agent...

<grr> Raging with you now Roly. The young lad is a genius. <laugh>

To be fair they look to have a great youth system. McNamara has given them opportunity rather than languishing in the reserves etc. They are flourishing with opportunity. His Celtic background is the reason he understands its importance. Young people have habit of surprising you when given the chance.

Problem with anything here is that you have to add the disclaimer "in Scotland". It kinda removes a lot of credibility, be it about the ability of players or the reliability of a youth system. Dundee United are playing young players, but what's their alternative? Dip into the transfer market?!?!? <laugh> <laugh> <laugh> <laugh> With all those Scottish Pounds?!?!? <laugh> <laugh> <laugh> <laugh>

Undoubtedly true but its all relative. Other teams up there invest their limited resources in cheap experienced players who have no resale value. They have limited resources but choose to invest in a sustainable youth system which gives them a better chance to grow. Its the same principle but on a different scale whichever country you're in. You can of course buy young foreign talent here and sell at a profit but its far better to avoid the initial costs by producing your own. Southampton are sitting on a few goldmines right now, with sales like Walcott and the Ox getting them where they are now.

I personally think Scotland are an improving nation in terms of talent. Their younger groups are producing a much better class of player now. Dundee U are right sat the forefront of that. We'll see in 5 years time though.
