Doesn't look as if the Pozzos are in sacking mood at present. http://www.goal.com/it/news/2/serie...uidolin-mi-faccio-da-parte-pozzo-ha-la-nostra With the aid of Google translate it just about makes sense.
What is the world coming to ? Little Old Watford have a manager, who this time last year (according to us) was better than any manager in Europe, and now some want him out and are even mentioning Mr H as the sort of replacement we need ? Can't believe anyone is contemplating getting rid of GFZ, who are we expecting to come in that would be an improvement ?? As for booing, I wasn't there and haven't been this season due to financial reasons, but listen every week to 3CR. I've been to some dire performances over the last 40 years but, have not and, will not boo my own team, what is it going to achieve ? All the talk on these boards at the beginning of the season was about creating an atmosphere at home, surely no atmosphere is better than a negative one ? Cant wait to be back in a position to get down to the Vic, heaven help anyone who boo's anywhere near me !! Come on ou horns !!
Yellowtoyou if you want to contradict yourself and ignore in general the whole picture thats fine but you are pointless in trying to twist things. Also if you read your posts as well as mine you would not be telling me to be reading my own posts it just makes you look very foolish in that you havn't bothered to read correctly or can understand what i have written. As you will see from your quoate above you state you do not want to see YOUR club succeed ??? obviously attention is not your strong point. Finally if its "YOUR" club put your hand in your pocket and finance it fully yourself otherwise shut up and enroll in an English course so that you can understand the written print in front of you and if 99% of people were with you on Saturday you were at the wrong ground because 99% of people did not share your view and thats a fact not fiction as many who attended on Saturday will varify.
I have not posted for a while as this place seems to have turned more into a non-Watford rep club than a football forum. It is good to see a real debate on Watford open up even if one or two are unusually rude for our forum. My tuppenyworth is that GFZ should be given his full 3 years in charge. He was brilliant last year and achieved far more than any of us had any hope to expect and produced the best football for many a decade - in fact I have not enjoyed watching us as much since the great GT era. Where have the days gone when a rubbish manager like Sir Alec Fergusen was given 3 or 4 years of underperforming at a top English club in order to build success? Did Malky, Brendan or Sean not have bad times here too - and yet each are achieving great success now. I know it is hard when we are playing poorly - as we are - but either you believe in and trust - and support your team and manager - or you go down the route so many clubs do nowadays of chopping and changing with the wind. GFZ will turn things around but he does not need fans on his back to help him
I believe that his contract was actually only for two years, it was the Pozzo plan to achieve EPL within three years. Not that that changes my mind - I think he should be allowed a good while longer. I would, however, like to see him introduce a plan B for home fixtures - at unbeaten in five, we're doing relatively well away from home - but the system doesn't appear to suit the currently fit players at his disposal. A fit again Abdi could be all that is needed though...
Well said HarryHornet. It seems that by a large majority people on here want GFZ to stay and turn things around. Maybe it will not be easy with the current frame of mind that the players seem to have, but I cannot see that bringing a new person in will have an immediate effect.
I personally would like him to stay for his full tenure, but he simply has to work out a plan B. We have been found out this season and we do not have enough pace up front! I like Troy, but he is not the quickest, we miss Vydra so much and he simply was not replaced in the summer. I have said previously about giving youth a chance and the young lad from Reading seems to fit the bill I know he has not got any Championship experience, but the only way to get experience is to give him a run out, he cannot of any worse than our current crop of so called strikers. I have to say though that I open Newsnow and this sight with trepidation as I keep expecting to see Zola leaves Time again to get behind the Golden Boys Nd the management team
Well - he left not too surprising once his own fans stop having faith in him - he is another gentleman who would not stay on to the bitter end. I think it is a shame and hope those who wanted him gone are satisfied and get the replacement they want
Bringing Clarke in seems a good shout-guess they know each other from Chelsea days? Just three 'small' hurdles-money, dropping a division and being a no.2...not sure I could really see it happening...
Some of the comments that I have read on the WO in recent weeks would make anyone wonder what the hell they were doing trying to entertain them. I suspect that it will not be long before they start up again because their own favourite has not been appointed.
