    Morning all.....
    yes MM would be great.

I agree too that our style of play will have increased our attendances and it was so good to watch when it worked...

My cold is bad today and we are told of a new office for after Christmas, which is not a good place to be.

Bloody 'ell, we are attracting some crap trolls since GFZ quit. I expect it from our poodle QPHa troll, but it has woken up all sorts of other idiots.

The lads last night were from the general chart forum - they had their fun and will now leave us alone i suspect. I must say i didn't appreciate the one who said we could get Ian Dowie - there are some things you simply do not joke about <yikes>

QPR will have their own problem when Harry Redknapp leaves because he has talked himself into the Tottenham Hotspur job, and does not then get this position.

Ian Dowie is not really a joke in the same way as Paulo di Canio or Ian Holloway.

The difference is that AVB was sacked but GZ resigned, so Spurs will have already had something in place but we haven't. It may also be that the Pozzos prefer not to release information about temporary appointments.

If the rumours are true, the Pozzos have certainly moved very quickly.

Or there is more to this than meets the eye. :bandit:

thanks for your messages re my neighbour's son...so so sad. My son's birthday today, yesterday he came home from Uni...her son will never come home again...i have to admit to feeling a little guilt. The funeral is on Thursday...going to be a tough affair. She's so very brave...some people amaze me.

But, life, as they say, goes on...so, how's everyone doing? Thanks for the caramel lattes Ak...i've needed lots of those lately! ;)

So sad that Zola didn't stay, i think it was the right decision, but i would have loved to have seen him turn things round. What a lovely, genuine man. Maybe that's part of the problem. Perhaps the truth will come out now about what's really been going on at the training ground.

You cannot but feel sorry for people who are going through a rough time. A friend of mine who I was with in October is currently in hospital and has been told that there is nothing more that they can do for him. I have known him for over 60 years and only glad that I was with him recently. Football sometimes seems a bit of a frippery.

Has anyone heard of any follow-up to the racism incident the juniors experienced in Rome last week? There's no mention of it (that I can see) on the official site & nothing in the press beyond reporting what had happened.

I stumbled across a reference to the result of the final earlier today, but no mention of anything else re the tournament.

BB, we probably won't hear anything else until the investigation is completed.

Well the day of my house move is soon upon me, Thursday<yikes> other half comes back from Paris tomorrow night, then undoubtedly up with the larks on Thursday waiting for the removals company to turn up? As always we have done 99% of the packing, military and all that<laugh> it's bad when you wake up early in the morning and all you can think about is what you still have to do in preparation for the move! Will be so glad when it's all over and we get the keys on Friday afternoon. Going to be a busy bee to say the least in the run up to Christmas! Hey ho ;)

That will certainly throw a spanner in the works! How will clubs cope, without the real big money coming in. I feel for the little clubs from the lower leagues.

    Thanks OFH;)

So an end to the transfer system? You have to wonder where all that transfer money will go if this happens - the already obscenely rich elite players become even more obscenely rich? Or will pigs fly and admission prices be slashed for us mere mortals?

I do find it unbelievable what this union are after - I wonder if they have thought through the possible ramifications to smaller clubs which may go to the wall without the income generated by transfers. Will they fight for other, less attractive worker conditions - ie, if players can simply hand in their notice and walk off, would clubs be able to simply cancel contracts if their players aren't performing as expected? How about statutory sick pay - full pay for a month whilst injured then apply for sickness benefit if off any longer?

I remember many years ago when my dad, after a lifetime of involvement in football, walked away in disgust at the high wages being paid which, in his opinion, were ruining the game. He never watched another match, never read match reports - simply lost interest, and that was when top players were on £10 a week. I can see me finally coming around to his way of thinking. :(
