Well it looks as though the Gills game is currently ON tonight. I've been following some of the tweets this morning to gauge the situation:

    Gillingham FC ‏@TheGillsFC 34m
Pitch Update 1/2: We are confident tonight's game against @OfficialWolves will go ahead as planned. It is dry & sunny at the moment. #gills

    Gillingham FC ‏@TheGillsFC 33m
2/2: We will provide updates during the course of the day and will notify supporters of any changes should they happen #gills

    KentPolice Football ‏@kentpolicefooty 12m
just spoke with the stadium manager and no pitch inspection is planned. See update from @TheGillsFC also that confirms this

    TICKET SALES:
    Wolves ‏@OfficialWolves 16h
Sales from Molineux for Gillingham closed on 779. Tickets also available on the gate at Priestfield on Friday night (7.45pm kick off).

I think the problem is because it is on Sky. Wednesday being a typical example. The Stevenage pitch was in miles better condition than the Luton pitch but we all know which one was cancelled. It dosen't matter about travelling supporters these days as long has the people that stay at home in their armchairs are kept happy.

If it rains too hard I think the Wolves fans will get bumped across to the Gordon Road stand to keep always occupied <cheers>

Tickets for this one have sold pretty well and Wolves have already sold 800. There will be no room for that many to be housed elsewhere...would be a nice gesture to put them in the bottom tier for once though. Perhaps a little less windy. If it goes ahead its not going to be pretty. The keepers may fancy their chances with the odd effort on goal too

Agree lads I think there will be too many Wolves fans to easily move. Maybe move those a bit more vulnerable to the conditions and let the younger one's play bouncy on the scaffolding to keep warm. Although to be honest even the Medway Stand is not going to be much joy sitting in tonight, with that wind howling around.

On a unrelated note and perhaps a very negative one. If the pitch is in bad shape it might end up being a boring nil - nil farce of a game but right now I wouldn't be too displeased with a point!

After the nonsense that our fans had to endure in Wolverhampton & at Molineux, I think that a bit of rain (hope it's a lot), is the least payback that (some of ) their fans deserve whilst probably having the pleasure of completing a 'double'.

Molineux is probably the shabbiest 'hospitality' that the Gills fans have received this season.... Do they not realise this is Division 3, not the Premiership. I was forced to sit next to Drakey_X whilst she reeked * - just because the stewards were scared that a slim young lady had a tiny can of aerosol deodorant in her handbag - which they confiscated - yet they did nothing (for quite a while) to prevent all sorts of objects (spit) raining down on the Gills fans from the home idiots in the stand above. Nor did the stewards stop the fans ( admittedly Gills fans ) from taking their half time bottles of ale into the auditorium.

    * Sorry B - you know I'm only joking.

I think Gillingham will line up as follows.......................

    --------------------------Nelson-------------------------------------
    Harriman--------Legge-----------------Barrett----------------Martin
    -------------------------Gregory-------------------------------------
    ------------Whelpdale---------------Hessenthaler--------------------
    --------------------------Dack-------------------------------------
    ----------------McDonald-------------Akinfenwa----------------------

Subs: Howard (GK), Davies, Lee, Fagan, Weston, Marriott, Kedwell

Assuming the match goes ahead of course, then tonight's match against Wolverhampton Wanderers is a match I feel that Gillingham have to win because we have put pressure on ourselves by not winning either of the games against Leyton Orient and Walsall, also with Gillingham not playing on New Year's Day The League One Table is starting to show a clear picture of where we actually are in the table and just two points separates us and the bottom four.

New signing Jack Marriott should be on the bench this evening and I think he will come on past the hour mark for either Cody McDonald or Adebayo Akinfenwa, Danny Kedwell could delay his hernia operation and keep playing through the pain barrier for The Gills and I think Myles Weston will recover from his hamstring injury to also be named among the subs bench, we have got plenty of attacking options now as Adam Birchall is back from his loan spell at Dartford and Jack Marriott signing today will give us plenty of striking options for the second half of the season.

Wolves tore us apart at Molineux, but they have injury problems of their own and they also are out of form as well, still won't be easy against a aside who should go up as League One Champions, but Gillingham play better against better opposition, hopefully we start the way we started against Leyton Orient and don't start the way we started against Walsall - COME ON YOU GILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AlwaysRight - I also had a bad experience at Molineux this season, but that wasn't because of The Wolves Supporters but some of our own supporters acting like a bunch of idiots and their behaviour was a distance, I sat next to two groups of supporters who wanted to kick the living daylights out of each other, their language was over excessive even for a football match and I hate reserve sitting, why cannot you sit next to the people you travel with to and from the game, also I had never seen these "supporters" at any of our matches home or away, yet they turn up at Molineux.

Also we had to cross the main road to get to the away end, why the coaches couldn't stop off and let supporters get off the coach before parking I will never know.

Have to agree with alwaysright and FOM, Molineux is the worst away ground i have been too this season. Yes, nice stadium but some real bad attitudes in regards to hospitality from the fans in the upper tier to the men in yellow jackets. Let alone the drop off arrangements and main road, then daring to walk to the pub in what can only be best described as not the most welcoming of areas. Welcome to L1 and the BMS, enjoy our Premier League standards while your here...lol

    Pitch update:

Contrary to uninformed reports we have no doubts at present about tonight's fixture with @OfficialWolves & the pitch is in good shape

I'm pretty sure Jackson scored the winner at Wembley. Or are you talking about another Simeon?
