    ...is coming up very soon.

Predictions? I give it to Nadal, right now he is unstoppable. Just recently came back from 2 sets down. He's the daddy :emoticon-0110-tongu

As for the ladies, I have no clue and don't much care either as long as gobby doesn't win it. <monster>

Murray will open his campaign against Go Soeda of Japan who is ranked number 112 in the world. He's reached 3 of the last 4 finals in the Australian Open so let's hope he can go one better this year and win it (although I think it's come too soon for him).

I think either Rafael Nadal or Novak Djokovic will win it for the men. I'd love it if Andy Murray can win it and he's got the tools, but he's not match sharp enough. Semis for Andy at a push as it's too soon for him.

As for the ladies I hope Serena doesn't win it as she comes across as arrogant and she never credits her opponents if they beat her.

I agree it is too soon for Andy. Nadal or Djokovic will win it.

    Breeze for Murray: 6-1, 6-1, 6-3.

    41 degrees C though <yikes>

One of the female tennis players was complaining because her water bottle had melted and was sticking to the side of the court! Others are complaining because the soles of their trainers are melting whilst they're playing.

Very harsh, she takes all of her opponents seriously and credits them after most matches in her interview, as well as that she is always ruthless therefore not showing disrespect to lower ranked players. One of the best ever to play tennis without a doubt.

Not a headline you're ever likely to see in Scotland!

Andy's match against Vincent Millot is expected to be delayed until 10.30am our time.

Andy through in straight sets though he had a bit of a wobble in the third, coming back from 5-1 to win it 7-5.

Good luck to Andy tomorrow. This is the real start of the tourney now. If he gets past the lucky loser he will have his first real test in the form of Roger Federer. Whilst Roger isn't consistently playing the tennis of his prime, he is not to be written off. I would say that Andy is the favourite to beat Roger this time if he gets to the quarters. I think that Andy will get to semis but will get beat by Nadal in 4 sets.

As for the ladies, hooray Serena is out! I know I'm being harsh but she's arrogant and doesn't credit her opponents when she loses or does it in a false way. Whilst I don't like the shrieking of some players, I'd rather someone else with more humility win it.

Andy goes through in 4 sets. Won the first two easily, had a bit of a meltdown in the 3rd and stormed through the 4th.

Federer's just taken the first set against Tsonga.

Fed has won in straight sets. Andy will have to beat Fed, Nadal and Djokovic to win title. If Fed brings his prime form, Andy will be in trouble. I'm cautiously going for Andy to win in 4 or 5.

Good to see Andy go through to a 1/4 final show down with Federer - the reason Robert doesn't like Serena Williams is the very same reason I went off Roger Federer! It's all about his game or what went wrong with it (injuries etc.) and never any credit or sympathy given to the opponent.

Good to see "the mouth" exit today. <ok>

    What am I like? <laugh>

I'm now tipping Federer to go on and win it :bandit:

Well, well.... Djokovic is out. So it looks as if winner is now going to be either Roger Federer, Andy Murray, or Rafael Nadal. However, don't count out Stan or Thomas being a surprise winner folks...
