Much as I hate to say it, desperate times call for desperate measures, but in all seriousness they must have a few youngsters that can play a bit, that could help us and they would not even have to move just a short drive down the M27.

Its maybe such an unusual idea, that I have started a thread on it! PUP(with or without Scummers) <laugh>

Actually, 3rd eye, David Connolly probably isn't much younger than dear old Kanu, but I must agree DC has been superb for us of late, especially last Saturday when he came on and turned the game completely with some superb play <ok>

At whatever age, he is still a classy player, just like dear old Kanu was for us.

Strong rumours that Peterborough Utd. have bid a paltry £150,000 for Jed Wallace, and wait for it..................Pompey may accept !!!!!

Surely we should receive at least £250,000 to £300,000 for Jed ?

If this is true, I very much hope we include add ons such as receiving at least 25% of any sell on fee.

It is stated by 'Vital Football' site, that this is a second offer from the Posh <confused>

Hope you are right, 3rd eye. I'm not in to Twitter, so unaware what is discussed on there.

Jed is a major asset to PFC, a talented prospect with a great future ahead of him.

Just heard that Ryan Bird has scored twice for Cambridge Utd. on his debut !

I've just read this on twitter:

"Burnley agree transfer fee with Pompey for midfielder Jed Wallace."

Tell me that's not true- it probably is not true seeming as he started yesterday.

Not really that weird, Barker wants fully fit players that can go the course, as much as he has been good for us it is a little awkward to say the least that he himself applied for the job of manager, he didnt get it, so he just wants play games........under barker he is about 4th in line, he will only feature as a bench player...........i think its good move from the point of view we can call him back if needed, he is off the wages and is keeping fit getting games <ok>

I don't know, I think it is a bit weird actually.

We have Ryan Taylor who, a) hasn't really proved himself yet.... he didn't do so well for Brizzle and they were happy to see him go, and; b) we won't see Craddock for the rest of this season.

Only leaves us with Jake Jervis and big Pat. Just hope Ricky Holmes and Jed Wallace are able to do the business for us.

DC has the ability to change games, although he is at the wrong end of his career and fitness he still had that edge about him, I am lead to believe that he was starting to become quite vocal in the dressing room......after all that has gone before us we dont need upset in the players dressing room and training pitch!

Lately, like you bornpompey, I've been hearing and reading snippets like this all over the place about Connolly. Descriptions like, moaner, bad apple, disruptive influence in the dressing room etc. have now become assertions that he and Barker are practically at each others throats and that he's sore that he got passed over for the manager post. Maybe I'm just too much of a sceptic but the fact is that very, very few have any real knowledge of what goes on in the dressing room, a lot just want to be seen as ITK.

Seems to me that the ones who are in the know keep it to themselves until it's okay for it to become public knowledge. I put you in that category BP as you've shared information with us just before it's authoritatively confirmed. But I notice even you have qualified your comment with "led to believe" which makes me take most of what I've been hearing/reading with a pinch of salt.

Unless David Connolly took himself off to OU, in which case why a loan rather than a mutual agreement to tear up his contract, I can't help feeling this might say more about Barker's management skills than Connolly's behaviour.

On the other hand it might just be a dastardly plan by Barker and Connolly to keep us in the league - isn't Oxford about to play a lot of the teams around us? :emoticon-0112-wonde
