video of the Toon kids win against Derby County earlier today

be aware of some quite disturbing scenes around 34 minutes into the game
where a clash of heads results in Derby County youngster having a fit

hope the lad is well and is on the mend <ok>

    game starts on 29mins

    Adam Armstrong goal about 60mins

Well done the kids, Armstrong seems to be making quite a name for himself.

What kind of gate did they get, do you know?

We should try and encourage the youngsters, the first team of tomorrow.

according to NUFC.Com, there seeme to have been a few

Crowd: tbc- housed in the lower tier of the main stand and including a sprinkling of Toon followers, with the Midlands supporters and London Mags represented plus various familiar faces from Tyneside and beyond.

Peter Beardsley and Graham Carr looked on from the Directors Box, with Rams boss Steve McClaren and his coach Paul Simpson also among those present

That must have helped them somewhat.

Sad scenes and hope the young Derby lad is ok. Good strike by young Adam Armstrong, now tell him to tell the big boys how it's done.

Hope the Derby lad is okay

On another note, our lads want to be careful. If Ashley finds out a Newcastle team is within a few games of winning something, there'll be hell to pay

Yes, it's never nice to see a player get a head injury, especially one of the younger ones that won't have as much behind him or get the same treatment as the senior players.

Oooh, that looked horrific. Never nice to see that, so hope the lad makes a full recovery. At least he looked like he was responding to people as he was going off on the stretcher, so fingers crossed.

That goal was pure quality. Not just the actual finish (which was sublime), but also the way he sold the defender by shaping to hit it with his right first, to make the space. Cracking effort. <applause>

Did anyone else notice the Derby defender in the 59th minute of the vid (about the 30th minute if the actual match) who 'did a Stevie Taylor'? He blocked a shot with arm in the penalty area before being 'shot' in the body by an unseen sniper. Stevie would have been proud. <laugh>
