Maldonado thinks the team will be fighting for podiums before the season is over. The team also thinks they will make a huge step in Spain

I don't know why, I'm a McLaren fan (I know I know, it's assumed it's RBR), Kobayashi, but the car I most want to work is this one. Maldonado & Grosjean fighting up at the front, everyone will be glad the engines are quieter, it'll mean they can hear the crashes better

Fundamentally, the E22 IMO is a good car, a very good car in fact. You just needed to have watched it in testing on the rare occasions wasn't on fire or shuddering to a halt. It looked to easily have one of the best handling balances on track. Also apparently it's one of the few cars that is (Slightly) under the weight limit allowing them to move ballast around to get that. Reckon when Renault sort their issues and Lotus have a better understanding of how the package works, it'll be surprisingly quick.

Of course the others will have moved on too in performance by then, so it might not be podium material too often...

Lotus really struggled with their head. Their big lost is Eric Boullier exit

Has anybody seen the Lotus Microsoft advert yet? They claim their product is the difference between winning and losing.

    <laugh> what a publicity fail
