For such a young manager he really is the man. Before he came here, he wasn't a world renowned manager. He gained a lot of respect for the way he had Swansea playing, that's about it really.

Look at him now, he changes tactics that change the game. He's not afraid to be ruthless. He has the respect of the players. The way he dealt with Suarez last summer, Andy Carroll before that. The way he handles the pressure. Yes he's made mistakes, he'll make more. No matter where we finish, I couldn't be happier with/for him.

I honestly believe that for the aforementioned, he could attract some names. I'm sure there are some good players in Europe who would think... 'Brendan Rodgers, I'd like to play for him'.

Yup, and it seems that he gets on and works well with the owners without being a yes man. He has his own way's much like Benitez but he doesn't seem as cold as Benitez.

He puts the club first as well, batting away any speculation about a new contract and saying they'll look at it after the season so not to distract him or anyone else at the club. Cynics may say that he's doing it so if he wins the league he'll get more money, but if he does win the league he can have what ever he wants.

Hop we tie him down with a 5 year contract come the end of the season and let him build something special here.

I work with a spurs fan who says he can't stand him since he joined Liverpool. Very bitter indeed. That's what happens when you manage a big club, you defend your club and players to the point of delusion.

I always go in on a Monday and read out loud a BR quote on the game followed by "Ahh Brendan, you really are a class act."

In fairness, he says the right things most of the time.

Changed the game today. Spotted that we were getting outnumbered in midfield and rectified it by bringing on Lucas (who dominated the game for the entire 45 minutes). Love the guy, he's a real gent and a class act.

Bias aside, for me he is the most tactically astute manager in the league. Not having the resources of a city or chavs where they can throw yet another £20 million + player on to try and change things! he manages to use a very small nucleus of players and get the absolute maximum out of them.
He also appears very calm on the touch line and in front of the camera.
Very happy he is ours and I think most of the neutral fans would like to see us win it as that's what we would be doing. Winning it and not buying it.

I thought Gerrard would definietly be booked at some point so he should have got a yellow a few games ago to make sure he was available for Man City.

But not only has Gerrard not been booked in the last 3 games, no one has.

    Quality management. <ok>

Hats off, he is a top manager. The results (at least so far) speak for themselves - he has taken a team from 7th or whatever it was, with few major additions, and is going toe to toe with two teams whose first team squads probably cost a combine £2 billion.

Granted, having probably the best player in the world outside La Liga in the squad helps, but he still has to be managed and the squad still have to play in a way that gets the most out of him. And nobody could question the fact that, if Liverpool do succeed this year, they will have done it as a team.

I didnt think you had a chance at christmas, I didnt think you had a chance at the end of February. Right now, it is a big ask, as, if my maths is correct, either Chelsea or City will have the title race in their hands if they win at Anfield but you have a massive chance now (forgive me for stating the obvious). I wouldnt make you favourites simply because you have to play both of them, but win or not you have earnt a huge amount of credit this season and Rodgers' reputation has skyrocketted.

Cheers for that ! It's good to see rival fans are not all as blind or biased as manure and chavs.
Yes it's still a massive ask and obviously we will know more after next Sunday but every time we are asked a question we come up with the answer. Thought our lack of depth in the squad would have caught up with us by now but we seem to be getting stronger . Today was a game we would have caved in to win previous seasons but we seem to have a very strong resolve now.

look, i think he knows what he wants. he's delivering what he said he would and obviously hhas a lot of scope to do better with better level of players behind SAS.

Skertl is a man transformed... in previous years a player like drogba would batter him aerially. he has been simply magnificent at the back aerially. is it anything to do with rodgers... has to be.

Same for suarez settling down, same for giving players a chance.

But i nthe end his move of gerrard has made his season in many ways. it's sealed off a lot of issues and also improved out range of game and allowed SAS to try to get behind based on delivery.

Its easy to tlak when you are on top but i feel he said some things day one and has now delivered most all of them.

I do wonder if MFG has changed his opinion on the man, it would be interesting to see his take on the transformation of the club this season.

well it's like this... one game a week and no injuries. suarez has been rock solid and sturridge has been managed. allen and agger are now injured but have had a week off in effect. we would have caved before cos we'd not believe. the biggest challenge any lfc manager has is getting gerrard to believe. once he does everyone comes along. unitl you get gerrard convinced you are at nothing cos he'll only play in fits and starts. This has been gerrard's best i n5 years frankly and its not goals from pens i'm talking about.

Dont want to make same mistake as United did with giving moyes a 6 years contract.

Because he will be un-sackable because of the huge payoff the owners will have to pay ;)

I somehow doubt we'll ever hear....

but he is still a clown IMO... when on top and everyone is fawning he can't put a foot wrong but he will put his foot in his mouth on occasion... have to be true to my opinion. this year is all about making the most out of current players like skertl and the prior signings of sturridge and coutinho. Its not about his signings is it? mingolet is still not as good IMO as reina but at least sahko came back in. 50/50 on signings is not bad but the glaring ones cannot be ignored. He's got the maximum and more out of players like skertl, henderson and even sterling... and its about good coaching, giving chances and not tossing a guy for a mistake. Thats his real strength, he believes in his game, hasn't made silly decisions like moyes did on the basis of reaction to the decision.

think back to him trhowing on teixteria and the result that came about. its a small thing, not a direct assist but its that kind of bravery thats got him to the top.

You are scraping and scrambling for points with the best of them, as any potential title winning side has to.

In regard to the squad depth comment - IMO you have been slightly fortunate in that regard, as I would say that if Suarez or Sturridge had got injured at any point in the last few months you could have struggled to be as consistent as you have in these high pressure fixtures. But that isnt to take anything away from the excellent football you have played all season, and most title winning sides have similar 'luck' in keeping their star players fit for periods of time - Lampard went about 5 seasons without getting injured and Ronaldo didnt get any significant injuries in 3 PL title run ins, didnt make either side any less deserving of the PL in those seasons though.

Like you said - you will know a lot more after next Sunday. Should be a cracker!
