    Wycombe are targeting youth

The closure was due in part to cited “”financial limitations” and the “increased demands” of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) .”” Wycombe Wanderers Trust, who in 2012 had only recently purchased the club from previous owner took the decision after careful financial consideration to try to bring the clubs finances ‘back into the black’ and run a break-even model.

Like Wycombe, other clubs up and down the Football League have bore the brunt of the financial implications of EPPP changes, Yeovil had to close their youth academy whilst Crawley had to downgrade their academy, both of which have yet to be able to reverse those changes.
