    Siem gets the 10 ahead of Cabella. Ben Arfa relegated to 26 (almost surprised he was given one at all). Interestingly numbers 5 and 12 kept free - ready and waiting for a new CB and striker (Lacazette)?

    Surprised HBA was given one but I suppose this backs up what Pardew was saying about not closing the door on him. Pleased SDJ has the number 10, but in truth, its only a number! I hope you're right Tasty. I hope Rolando getting 16 suggests he is firmly part of the first team squad - after all he is Cristiano Ronaldo crossed with John Barnes.

    5 and 12 have been retired in honour of NUFC legend Danny Simpson!

    Seriously though, its nice to see a lot of the younger lads "promoted" as it were, to higher squad numbers, especially Aarons who has been put firstly amongst the first-team squad, but on the flip side it makes it obvious whose time is running out of the club, when they get "demoted", namely Ben Arfa (who knew?!) Bigirimana (shame) and Ferguson (disappointing)

    Aarons given 16 which is nice to see and interesting

    Jonas has kept his number too which is a suprise as he seems missing!

    also glad cisse kept the number 9 last thing he needs is another knock to his confidence
