they rejected £5m from southampton, not so sure alonso is finished mind, he didint feature at all in fiorentina's last match, not even the bench
We won't get Alonso, so sack that one. Diakite won't work out, he and Gus ain't interested. Jones RB but can cover both full-back positions. VanTheMan on the left Virgini, I'd like to see develop into a ball playing centre back, but does a good job on the right side - as with Roberge, but covers left side. Agnew is an up and coming left back Can Watmore be an up and coming right back? If not (I see him further forward) Byram could be a good choice? What else do we really need? A big centre-half to take over from Wes.
We won't be paying £10 million for a Championship RB. Let Saints buy him, then offer £6million for Clyne.
exactly. clyne won't want to play second fiddle to byram, and byram won't move to be on the bench when he's in the first team at leeds. think clyne is far and away the better player mind. how much did they pay for him off palace? was gutted we never went in for him.
£5million I think, I know we were half interested at the time. I think he's quality and I think he's perfect to balance with PVA other side.
Keith Downie‏@SkySports_Keith 6m Poyet on Leeds' Sam Byram: "I like him and I've known him for a long time. Like any young British player, they are sometimes too expensive."
Sunderland manager Gus Poyet will announce the arrival of highly rated youngster Sam Byram this week. The Uruguayan coach admitted that the full back is still on his radar. Leeds United and Sunderland have been locked in talks over a transfer fee for Byram and it appears there has been some progress made in discussions as Poyet agreed a 5.5 million pounds fee for the player. Poyet told reporters of his pursuit of Byram: "He's a player we like and I've known him for a long time. Like young English players, sometimes they are a little bit too expensive."
guess this means we won't be signing a centre half then... and leaves us light at lb. every leeds fan i've spoken to says he's class though. wonder who will be first choice, him or jones?
Where`ve you got this from? `will announce`? That`s positive. `Still on his radar` Maybe not. Bit ambiguous that like.
