Not sure how true this is..... http://metro.co.uk/2014/08/07/artur...-ahead-of-manchester-united-transfer-4824357/
The BBC are saying we're close to getting him, they're saying his representatives are in Manchester, if that's true, i hope we get him.
Matth are you going to post your vid? I wont but up to you if you do, its already on the internet, it is funny.....
Always concerned about players being bought off the back of performances at international championships. Poborsky! Hopefully this will spell the end for Nani though!
An odd signing, if it happens. An Attacking winger, hardly the area that you are crying out for signings in. Like Eric said, If I was LVG, I would be more concerned with signing another midfielder, or not going into the new season with Smalling, Jones and Evans as your CBs.
Not worried about Evans, Jones, and Smalling. They're better than most people give them credit for and I think they will really play well in a 3 CB system. The real problem is Smalling and Jones are injury prone and I'd be surprised if one or both of them doesn't pick up a significant injury before the beginning of October. Our cover for the CBs is our youth team defenders, and that's simply not good enough.
I completely disagree, but even still, you cant say they are 3 CBs you would expect a team challenging for the title to roll out.
You will surely sign a CB and CM 20 days left so still time although you'd want them in before next weekend I did point out that having VG later in the summer could be a hindrance due to him wanting to look at the squad etc
He can play as a wing back. Smalling, Jones and Evans are better defenders than they are given credit for. Jones is only 22 but has already been written off by some people despite the fact that many central defenders don't peak til their mid 20's at the earliest. Smalling is a god centre half, he's looked poor at right back, largely because he's not a right back. Evans must have done something right to have made over 100 appearances for United and won 3 PL medals.
Rodgers had all of last season and the whole of this summer to come up with a transfer strategy and he ended up buying Southampton! Fairly confident LVG will bring in superior players than Rickie Lambert before the transfer window closes despite the fact that he's only had a few weeks to assess the squad!
