Well, the practice is over and the start of the season is up next at Wimbledon. Have you made it to any of the friendlies? What do you think of the players and who do you think will start the first game, what formation will be preferred?

Are you optimistic for the forthcoming season and where will we be positioned at the end?

......and all please look at 'new challenge' sticky as I'd like us all (including visitors) to have a guess as to what we believe will happen.

I go into each season as an optimist .....some years it evaporates more quickly than others; let's hope this is a better one. It is at least an unknown because of a) all the dealings and b) no loanees.

MM says town are ready for the start of the season, which indicates town have made all their signings apart from an emergency loan. the PSF's results have been encouraging and I am sticking with my optimistic prediction of a 3-1 win at wombles. but shall not be downcast at a reverse as we are starting the season with an awkward fixture.

town have the squad to finish in the top 3, and in that cause I wish all a hearty Floreat Salopia! in this morning'sstar

This actually looks quite a tough league this year with some sleeping giants like Pompey and I think both Luton and Cambridge could well be in contention. I only saw one friendly but do not think we really hit any heights there though some of the signs were encouraging. We do look a lot stronger squad-wise this year and surely our strikers will be good enough to be a real threat to the opposition in this league. The manager certainly talks a good game and his positive thinking could well be of benefit to the club as a whole after a couple of seasons where we have been mostly on the back foot. If the squad gels I can certainly see us being in contention and I predict a steady start followed by increasing levels of teamwork and automatic promotion at the end of the season. Lump on now at decent odds! Floreat Salopia.

First game of the season tomorrow for me. We certainly have picked a good time to play Blackpool considering their lack of players for most of preseason.

Assume that the Park and Ride will be open for Parking, is that right?

p and r closed by scc until 16.9.14 when it reopens. a great start to the season and if we can win or draw at the cobblers this will be good. wow cobblers will miss Coventry who are moving back to Ricoh. do hope cobblers are not relying on Coventry cash!
