    Thanks a lot mate.

I do kind of live on a Thai diet these days, basically everything with loads of chilli's.

A few years ago, i used to manage an import food branch, all mainly English brands. But location sometimes stops me from getting what i want...Simple things like a tub of Bisto gravy...

It's strange, as i manage a building company, therefore in my own house have some of the top appliances you can get, mostly imported from Germany...yet the missus still prefers to cook outside with charcoal on a small fire....

You can't cook a full duck like that?

It's actually a real learning curve watching these cook...what they use and the speed they do it...i think we actually over cook everything.

This bring me back to what i have spoke about on here many a time, and if i did come back and open a swanky thai resturant, i hope you lot would come.

Certainly. Not too swanky mind. I`m not good with swank.

Can I bring me own Bisto?

    No:mad:

I still have my reservations if it could work, maybe Sunderland is not the right city for it. It's an idea anyway.

Best of luck mate, you're clearly the kind that grafts, I presume you've picked up the know how with living there. Just a case of finding a gap somewhere that needs filling.

One to be open to and keep on the shelf for another day I reckon mate, nowt wrong with tinkering around with it in your head until you decide the time is right, if you do at all.

Love proper Thai food me. Looking forward to visiting the missus in Melbourne, she reckons it's absolutely cracking over there.

You'll get some proper stuff there like, the whole range of asian foos, thai, vietnamese, malaysian, the lot.

Thai is usually spicy, vietnamese rather bland, malaysian a bit of a mix.

Plus the aussies whopper steaks and fish.

My biggest miss is some decent dripping off a good old beef or pork joint with the brown jelly sinking to the bottom. We had one at home for years that just got added too every weekend and the fights over the thick crusts was massive in our house, but my father won every time.
